Toronto Raptors -5 (-110) vs. CHI

In terms of rosters filled with talent that continue to consistently underperform, Chicago has arguably been the most disappointing of the bunch, considering the Bulls are stationed 11th in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 28-33 on the season, despite having a trio of multi-time All-Stars at their disposal, plus Lonzo Ball, who hasn’t played since January 2022.

For a low-level team, the Bulls are a flashy underdog option night-to-night with high-profile scoring threats such as DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine at the helm, however, their ceiling remains limited as long as they shy away from shooting the longball, highlighted by Chicago ranking dead-last in the league in three-point attempts per game and 24th in offensive rating (112.9 ORtg, 29 3PA).

Make no mistake about it, the Bulls can still be dangerous from time-to-time, they enter Tuesday following back-to-back wins over the Nets and Wizards, but there’s a good chance their luck runs out tonight in Toronto.

In their most recent affair, Toronto posted an ugly 118-93 road loss to Cleveland. However, prior to their latest defeat, the Raptors had won seven of their last eight games, and they’re 4-0 in their last four home games. So, I’ll back Toronto to handle business in tonight’s matchup against a Bulls’ squad that’s posted a record of 10-20 on the road this year.

Timberwolves-Clippers Over 233 (-110)

The Clippers currently rank 23rd in scoring and 24th in pace. So, in relative terms, the over-under for this matchup may seem a little bit too high, however, there’s a decent amount of value on the board heading into this one.

The Clippers are notorious for wanting to slow down the pace and lean on their defense, however, due to injuries and a handful of other factors throughout the season, that style of play hasn’t worked out for them this year. So, as an attempt to shake things up, they signed Russell Westbrook to a short-term deal last week, and with that, the overall methodology of this team has changed very quickly.

In their two contests since the addition of Westbrook, the Clippers have combined with their opponents for a monster average of 304.5 PPG, resulting in losses in both of those affairs. So, there’s a good chance that we’ll see them partake in another high-scoring bout against a Wolves’ squad that ranks 4th in the league in pace (101.4 PACE).

Kawhi Leonard (LAC) Over 3.5 Assists

Kawhi Leonard recorded just two assists in the Clippers’ 134-124 road loss in Denver this past Sunday, marking his lowest assist output since L. A.’s double-digit loss to Philly back on January 17th.

Prior to their latest affair, though, Leonard had been posting some very consistent passing numbers for L. A., considering he’s tallied 4+ assists in 14 of his last 19 outings, with three of those performances ringing in just below that number at three assists.

So, I’ll back Leonard to bounce back in the passing department in tonight’s matchup against a Timberwolves’ squad that’s surrendered 121 points to the opposing team in five of their last nine contests.
