Vikings' head coach Kevin O'Connell announced today that Vikings' quarterback J.J. McCarthy is not expected to play this weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals. O'Connell said that this injury is not a long term issue. The Vikings are slated to start Carson Wentz at quarterback against the Bengals.
Aaron Jones is also expected to miss the Vikings' matchup against the Bengals. Joe Burrow will be out for the Bengals. This QB matchup is looking like it will be Jake Browning vs. Carson Wentz.
J.J. McCarthy went 11/21 for 158 yards and 2 interceptions against the Falcons on Monday Night Football.
