2022 BUFFALO BILLS BETTING ODDS, PREDICTIONS, PREVIEW

Buffalo was arguably the best team on both sides of the ball last season, and after coming so close to knocking off the Chiefs in last year’s Divisional Round (L, 42-36 OT), it’s no surprise the Bills (+650) enter as the preseason favorite to win this year’s Super Bowl.

Bills’ QB Josh Allen (+700) also enters as the favorite to win this year’s MVP award, and rightfully so after leading Buffalo to back-to-back 11+ win seasons while passing for 4400+ YDS and 36+ TD, and rushing for 420+ YDS and 6+ TD in both campaigns.

Buffalo beefed up defensively by signing three-time All-Pro LB Von Miller during the offseason, which is a premier addition to an already stacked defense that led the league in points allowed and yards allowed last year (18.3 PPG, 289 YPG).

There’s no such thing as a true lock, but barring any significant injuries, the Bills should comfortably rank alongside the top contenders in the AFC this year; and personally, I think they’ll win it, but +350 to win the conference doesn’t get me excited regarding a long-term future play.

Buffalo’s win total line is stationed at OU 11.5 with a slight lean to the over at -130. The Bills should ultimately win 12+ games this season, but with matchups slated against the Rams, Packers, Chiefs, Titans, Ravens, and Browns in addition to division games, I’d stay away at that price.

The Bills are -200 favorites to win the AFC East, with most bettors expecting New England to take a step back and Buffalo to take a step up this season. The Buccaneers (-300) are the only team listed as a heavier favorite to win their division, but the AFC East contains far more formidable opponents than the NFC South.

The Bills (+350) and Chiefs (+450) open the year as stand-alone favorites to win the AFC, with the Chargers (+800), Broncos (+850), and Browns (+900) trailing by a considerable margin. Personally, Buffalo is my pick to win the AFC, but I don’t see much value in taking them at +350.

Buffalo (+650) also opens as the preseason favorite to win the Super Bowl, with Tampa Bay (+750) and Kansas City (+900) trailing closely behind before hitting a cluster of dangerous NFC squads in the Rams, Packers, and Niners. Again, I still believe the Bills are the most talented of the bunch, but the idea of backing them as a clear-cut favorite to win the Super Bowl isn’t all that intriguing.

Allen (+700) enters as the preseason favorite to win this year’s MVP award, which comes as no surprise after passing for 4400+ YDS and 36+ TD in back-to-back 11+ win seasons for the Bills. Personally, I believe there’s better value to be found within the MVP odds list; but if you like Allen, I’d hold off until those odds shuffle around a little bit.

Make Playoff?: Yes (-500) | No (+360)

Unfortunate circumstances arise in the NFL every year, and Buffalo is no exception to that claim; however, there’s probably a better chance the Bills win the Super Bowl at +650 than miss the playoffs at +360.
