2022 Dallas Cowboys Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions

DALLAS COWBOYS BETTING ODDS, PREDICTIONS, PREVIEW

The Cowboys won the NFC East with a solid record of 12-5 SU last season, earning the third seed in the conference and a home playoff matchup against San Francisco on Wild Card Weekend; however, their title hopes quickly fizzled out, as Dallas’ top-ranked scoring offense (30.4 PPG) generated just 17 points on 307 total yards en route to a disappointing home loss to open the postseason (L, 23-17).

Prior to last year’s Wild Card Weekend, Dallas was respected as a legitimate title contender at +1200 to win the Super Bowl, which only ranked behind the Packers (+380), Buccaneers (+800), and Rams (+1000) in the NFC; and rightfully so, as the Cowboys’ offense ranked 1st in scoring and 2nd in total yardage during the regular season (30.4 PPG, 401 YPG); while their defense also pulled its weight, ranking 8th in points allowed and 18th in total yardage (21.2 PPG, 350 YPG).

I wouldn’t exactly call last year’s first-round playoff loss a “choke” for Dallas, especially after San Francisco went on to upset Green Bay in the Divisional Round (W, 13-10), and came just three points away from knocking off L. A. in the NFC Championship Game (L, 20-17); however, the Cowboys’ incredibly successful campaign came to a screeching halt last year, and while they clearly can’t be trusted under postseason pressure, Dallas should ultimately pick up right where it left off regarding regular-season play.

WIN TOTAL ODDS

  • Over 10.5 (-115)
  • Under 10.5 (-115)

The Cowboys’ win total is stationed at OU 10.5 with each side of the over-under laying -115; and while Dallas stares down the barrel of a tough opening schedule with matchups against the Buccaneers, Bengals, and Rams all within the first five weeks of the year, I still like them to clear that number after posting 12 victories last season, and drawing an additional handful of bottom-tier opponents in the Lions, Texans, Jaguars, and Bears this year.

DALLAS COWBOYS ODDS TO WIN NFC EAST

+130

The Cowboys are listed as +130 favorites to win the NFC East, narrowly edging Philadelphia at +190, and pacing Washington (+500) and New York (+700) by a generous margin; and while personally, I believe the value lies with the underrated Commanders at 5-to-1 in this spot, Dallas is ultimately my pick to win the division given a blank slate, however, there’s a good chance those odds jump above +130 in the early  with Philly drawing matchups against Detroit, Minnesota, and Jacksonville out of the gate, so I reserve the right to change my tune.

DALLAS COWBOYS ODDS TO WIN NFC CHAMPIONSHIP

+750

Dallas is listed at +750 to win the NFC, which makes them the caboose of the upper-tier cluster containing the Buccaneers (+325), Packers (+500), Rams (+500), and Niners (+650) before hitting a steep drop off to middle-tier squads like the Cardinals (+1200) and Eagles (+1200).

DALLAS COWBOYS ODDS TO WIN SUPER BOWL 57

+1800

Dallas is listed at +1600 alongside the Broncos (+1600) and Chargers (+1600) to win this year’s Super Bowl, which only trails the Bills (+650), Buccaneers (+750), Chiefs (+900), Packers (+1100), Rams (+1100), and Niners (+1400); and while a Cowboys’ title seems relatively conceivable, this squad under Dak Prescott hasn’t given me any reason to consider backing them to make a deep postseason run at that number.

DALLAS COWBOYS 2022 MVP CONTENDERS & ODDS

Dak Prescott (QB) +1400

Ezekiel Elliott (RB) +15000

Micah Parson (LB) +15000

CeeDee Lamb (WR) +20000

Aaron Rodgers ran away with last year’s MVP by throwing for 4,115 yards and 37 touchdowns to just four interceptions, taking home 78% of the votes. Tom Brady hauled in nearly all the remaining votes (20%) by throwing for 5,316 yards, 43 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions; while Rams’ WR and reigning OPOY Cooper Kupp also received one vote for his outstanding campaign in L. A. (1,947 YDS, 16 TD).

Prescott didn’t receive much consideration for the award last year, however, his passing numbers weren’t too far removed from the top vote-getters, as the Cowboys’ signal caller completed 69% of his passes for 4,449 YDS, and 37 TD to 10 INT across 16 contests; and while personally, Dak isn’t my pick to win MVP this season, there’s definitely value on the table with six names sitting ahead of him on the odds list.

DALLAS COWBOYS TO MAKE PLAYOFFS ODDS

Make Playoff?: Yes (-280) No (+220)

I don’t love the idea of -280 NFL future, however, it only takes around 9-10 wins to punch a ticket to the postseason these days, and barring a handful of season-ending injuries, the Cowboys should have no issue claiming a playoff spot with several favorable matchups against the Lions, Texans, Jaguars, Bears, Colts, Vikings, Giants (2), and Commanders (2) on this year’s slate.
