2021 Jacksonville Jaguars Betting Odds, Predictions, Preview
The Jaguars head into the season looking to turn things around. They tapped into the college football dynasty in Clemson, not just once, but twice, when they grabbed QB Trevor Lawrence No. 1 overall, and RB Travis Etienne. Will that be enough to make them a much tougher out in the AFC South, though?
The Jaguars could get off to a quick start against the rebuilding Houston Texans in Week 1. However, their first three home games are against teams who have improved dramatically in the offseason, or will be contenders in their respective divisions. A Week 4 trip to Cincinnati is a quick turnaround, and no easy assignment, either.
The Jaguars also have a tough game in London, before two weeks to prepare for a killer gauntlet featuring more contenders against Seattle, Buffalo, Indianapolis and San Francisco.
In the second half of the schedule, the Jaguars have a shot at wins against Atlanta and Houston at home, and on the road against the Jets. But is this a team capable of going 7-9 or better? It's unlikely, although the future is as bright as it has been in a while with Lawrence running the offense, and head coach Urban Meyer taking the reins as head coach.

Jacksonville Jaguars Odds to Win AFC South
The Jaguars might return to the top of the heap in the near future, but that isn't happening this season. The Indianapolis Titans and Tennessee Titans are the cream of the crop. Jacksonville should be able to finish on top of the Houston Texans, however.
Jacksonville Jaguars Odds to Win AFC Championship
Urban Meyer is used to winning, but that was at the college level. He is off to a nice start building a winner with Lawrence and Etienne, while there are a few nice pieces being carried over like James Robinson, DJ Chark, etc. However, the Jaguars have a long, long way to go before they contend for a playoff spot, let alone a trip to the Super Bowl.
Jacksonville Jaguars Odds to Win Super Bowl 56
The Jaguars aren't winning the Super Bowl, and they're not even going to come close. In fact, they're the third-best team in the Sunshine State behind the defending champ Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Miami Dolphins. If this was a bet if they can win the Super Bowl in the next five years, maybe. But this year? No.
Jacksonville Jaguars 2021 MVP Contenders & Odds
Trevor Lawrence +8000
Travis Etienne +50000
Lawrence might have a shot at winning Offensive Rookie of the Year honors, but he isn't going to be the most valuable player of the league. Not yet, and not anytime soon. Let's see him get his feet wet and get used to the pros before putting him anywhere near the same sentence as the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, etc.
Etienne is going to be a nice piece of the new-look Jags offense, but MVP? C'mon, now.

The best bet out of the wagers above is Meyer. If he is able to have anywhere near the same kind of success as he had in previous stops at Bowling Green, Utah, Florida and Ohio State, he could do well in the pros. Having Lawrence at the helm of his offense, and a familiar face like Tim Tebow to give the team some veteran leadership will help. If Meyer is able to defy the odds and mold this team into an immediate contender, he has a shot at COY honors. I feel like this is a five- or six-win team at best, but I'd rather take Meyer with a small-unit wager than risk more than four and a half times my potential wager on the next best bet, Jacksonville not making the playoffs.
