2021 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Odds, Predictions, Preview

Is Tom Brady Immortal? Will Gronk play more than five regular-season games? Is Antonio Brown still in the NFL? All intriguing questions we’ll have to consider looking at the reigning champions this year. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers brought the band back together, not losing any players of interest on either side of the field. They brought back key defensive starters Lavonte David and Shaq Barrett, a move many didn’t consider likely, along with all their key offensive skill position players.

One of the most interesting things to follow this season will be Tom Brady’s success coming out of the gate. In last year’s season opener they faced a demoralizing loss to the division opponents Saints followed by a surprising Week 5 loss to the Nick Foles lead Bears. They also struggled early on with fairly winnable games against the Chargers and Panthers, while they did win these games they definitely didn’t get out to the commanding start that was expected. Now that Brady has proven he’s still got it it will be interesting to see how they start out the first couple weeks against tough opponents including the Cowboys and Rams.

Their win total is currently set at 11.5 meaning you would need at least a 12-5 season to cash the ticket, one more than last year. Looking through their schedule it’s hard for me to believe they lose more than two division games, while they dropped two to the Saints last season it appears the Buccaneers are looking as strong as ever while there is still plenty of uncertainty with the Saints. Even if they do hypothetically lose to the Saints and Panthers this year they would still afford to lose three games to the following teams - Cowboys, Rams, Football Team, Bills, and Dolphins.

12-5 honestly seems to reflect the floor for the defending champions. I love this win total and I’m fully confident that the team that just won the Super Bowl will come back as hungry as ever. This Buccaneers team is one of the best in the NFL from top to bottom, it’s hard to imagine a Super Bowl without Tom Brady in it at the moment.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Odds to Win NFC South

-200

I’m extremely confident that the Buccaneers will win this division but there’s absolutely no reason to lay down -200 on a preseason future. All it takes is one Tom Brady rolled ankle and this division is wide open. Rather than dragging this out ill get to the point, barring any crazy circumstances Tampa Bay is clearly the best team in this division. If there is an opportunity to get a better number I would jump on it but -200 just isn't good enough to warrant a bet.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Odds to Win NFC Championship

+300

This is a really tough number to dissect. While I personally do believe the Buccaneers end up winning the NFC Championship +300 isn’t a great number. The biggest thing holding me back is the potential upside multiple NFC competitors have this year. The 49ers will be getting a healthy team back along with possibly a new quarterback. The Rams just added a legitimate top 10 quarterback with Matt Stafford.

The Cowboys finally have Dak Prescott back, and the Washington Football Team have a quarterback who can throw the ball past 10 yards down the field. While I think it’s very possible the Buccaneers once again come out on top I’m personally going to hold out on this one. Excited to see a very competitive NFC this season, whoever comes out alive will be battle-tested for the Super Bowl.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Odds to Win Super Bowl 56

+650

Repeating a Super Bowl is not something to be taken likely but if anyone on earth is prepared for that level of stress it’s Tom Brady. Bringing back every single starter is something that will be taken lightly during the regular season but should heavily playoff in the postseason. They build incredibly strong offensive and defensive lines, have the best quarterback of all time, and an incredibly stacked group of skill position players.

That being said, I personally have the Cheifs as my projected Super Bowl Champions and +650 just isn’t a good enough number for me to budge on it. There are plenty worse bets to make I’m just not all in on the Buccaneers in the postseason, if you want a nice long shot then keep reading.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2021 MVP Contenders & Odds

Tom Brady +1200

Mike Evans +20000

Leonard Fournette +25000

+1200 just isn’t gonna do it for me at this point in his career. I understand the number isn’t gonna be much higher due to his status but Tom Brady is a post-season player and this is a regular-season award. I’m expecting Brady to have another impressive regular season but nothing quite on the level of an MVP.

Running backs and Wide Receivers rarely win the MVP award and I doubt Mike Evans or Leonard Fournette are gonna be the ones to change that. Both of them are playing in incredibly crowded fields, Evans is sharing targets with Godwin and Brown while Fournteee is in a split backfield with Jones and Bernard. Overall this is an incredibly talented offense but there’s nobody worth taking an MVP shot on.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Preseason Betting Odds & Markets

Make Playoff?: Yes -560 No +400
Most Games Won: +650
Fewest Games Won: +15000
Coach of the Year: Bruce Arians +2200

Most Games Won is actually a spot I really like at +650. Their biggest competition should be the Cheifs who are currently favorites but I will be betting on both teams at the generous odds where getting. Like I said before, 12-5 is the floor for this team. Would anybody be surprised if this team won 15 games? I wouldn’t be. Plays like this are highly dependent on everything going right for a team but if the Buccaneers can avoid any severe injuries than they are in serious contention for the most wins in the NFL.
