LAS VEGAS RAIDERS vs. LOS ANGELES CHARGERS BETTING PREDICTION

These AFC West rivals pick up right where they left off at the end of last season. The Raiders picked up a 35-32 win in overtime at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in Week 18, helping the Raiders to a playoff spot at the expense of the Chargers. Vegas went on to lost 26-19 in the AFC Wild-Card game to the eventual conference champions, the Cincinnati Bengals.

It was a loss the Chargers won't soon forget. They did win 28-14 in Week 4 last season, covering a 3-point number as the UNDER hit at SoFi Stadium. The home team winning was actually a return to normal. In the prior five meetings it was the road team winning four times, with the Raiders going 4-2 ATS across the previous six matchups. The OVER result from Week 18 was the norm, as the OVER is 3-1 in the past four meetings.

The Chargers have rolled up the points in recent seasons, posting 32, 28, 30, 26, 17, 24, 20, 26 and 30 in the past nine meetings, so you can likely expect plenty of fireworks in this bitter rivalry game.

Score Prediction: Chargers 30, Raiders 27

LAS VEGAS RAIDERS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Raiders went out and picked up a new offensive toy for QB Derek Carr, grabbing productive WR Davante Adams, formerly of the Green Bay Packers. With Adams, WR Hunter Renfrow and TE Darren Waller, the Raiders have quite the mix of talented pass catchers to move up and down the field in rather short order.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Raiders are still a player or two away from really being a tremendous unit, but the addition of CB Rock Ya-Sin bolsters the secondary, and the signing of DE Chandler Jones enhances the pass rush, book-ending him with DE Maxx Crosby for a nice one-two punch up front.

In recent years, the Raiders have started off strong, going 5-1 ATS in the past six regular-season openers, while cashing in five of the past seven games played in the month of September.

The last time these teams met in Week 1, it was the then-San Diego Chargers coming away with a 22-14 victory at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum against the then-Oakland Raiders in a Monday night game. So, a lot has changed since then.

LOS ANGELES CHARGERS BETTING ANALYSIS

Like the Raiders, the Chargers like to start off strong. The Bolts are 7-1-2 ATS across the past 10 regular-season openers, while going 5-2 ATS in the past seven games in the month of September.

The Chargers are just 2-5 ATS in the past seven as a favorite, however, while going a dismal 20-41-1 ATS in the past 62 games at home, whether that's SoFi, Dignity Sports Health Park in Carson or back in their time in San Diego. It really has been an odyssey, and the Bolts haven't been able to establish much of a home presence lately.

The Chargers are trending OVER in most every category. The OVER finished 6-0 in the final six games last season, while going 4-0 in the past four as a favorite, and 5-1 in the past six as a home favorite. The OVER also hit in the final four games at home for the Chargers. However, the UNDER is a whopping 9-0 in the past nine games in the month of September.

And in this series, the Chargers are just 4-9 ATS in the past 13 home meetings with the Raiders, while the underdog is 19-7 ATS across the past 26 in the series. The UNDER is also 17-4-1 in the past 22 meetings in L.A. and/or San Diego.
