LAS VEGAS RAIDERS vs. TENNESSEE TITANS BETTING PREDICTION

The Raiders and Titans each entered the 2022 NFL season with high expectations, but both head into Week 3 searching for their first victory of the season. One team is going to leave the field Sunday still winless. That's not exactly what either of these organizations expected, so expect a lot of desperation on Sunday in the Music City, and that should make for a great game.

The last time these teams hooked up was Dec. 8, 2019 in Oakland, as the Titans doubled up the Raiders 42-21 on a day QB Ryan Tannehill (21-27, 391, 3-1) outdueled QB Derek Carr (25-34, 262, 2-0). RB Derrick Henry also rumbled for 103 yards and a pair of scores, and the Titans could really use a performance like that from Henry in this one. He has started off a little sluggish by his standards.

Oddly enough, the last time these teams met in Nashville, the Raiders picked up the win. In fact, the Raiders organization is a perfect 3-0 SU/ATS in the past four trips to Nashville, and the road team is 5-0 SU/ATS in the previous five meetings in this series.

The Raiders opened the season with a setback on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers, which is nothing to be ashamed about. The Raiders were down 24-13, and that was after Carr already had three picks in the game. The team fought hard, Carr hooked up with WR Davante Adams, and closed it to 24-19. They failed on the two-point conversion, which would have also meant a backdoor cover. Oh-so-close.

In Week 2, the Raiders led 20-0 at halftime, but failed to keep their foot on the gas. The Arizona Cardinals and QB Kyler Murray had a resurgent second half, tying to game with a touchdown and two-point conversion with zeroes on the clock in regulation to force overtime. A scoop and score in the extra session meant Vegas would endure a painful loss in the home opener. And this isn't like hockey, where you still get points for OT. A loss is a loss in the NFL, and bettors were feeling the sting, too, as the Raiders went from covering a 5.5-point number comfortably in the first half, to not even winning outright when the dust settled.

So not only are the Raiders 0-2 SU, but they have failed to cover both games, while cashing the UNDER in each outing. The Raiders are 4-9 ATS across the past 13 games overall, and 1-4 ATS in the past five on the road, too.

TENNESSEE TITANS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Titans suffered a stunning loss in Week 1 against the New York Giants, who grabbed their nuts and went for two, rather than going for OT. It worked, the G-Men won 21-20, and the Titans were left shaking their heads. In Week 2, the Titans were tied with the Bills 7-7 after 15 minutes on Monday night. It was downhill from there, as the Bills routed the Titans 41-7, and bettors holding a Tennessee +10 ticket or UNDER ticket were the ones shaking their heads.

Tennessee has failed to cover each of the past four games overall, while going 2-6 ATS in the past eight games in the month of September. The Titans are 1-4 ATS in the past five games vs. AFC teams, too.

For totals, the UNDER is 6-2 in the past eight games overall for the Titans, while going a perfect 6-0 in the past six games at home. The UNDER is also 7-3 in the past 10 games in the month of September for Tennessee.
