LOS ANGELES CHARGERS vs. ARIZONA CARDINALS BETTING PREDICTION

Arizona is having an incredibly disappointing campaign, as the Cardinals stumbled out to a miserable 3-6 start to the season, and they appeared to be down for the count following Kyler Murray’s hamstring injury against Seattle in Week 9.

However, a glimmer of hope arose in the form of the Cardinals’ defense with backup QB Colt McCoy under center, as Arizona posted a commanding 27-17 victory over the Rams in Week 10. But their defensive spark didn’t last very long, as the Cardinals followed up their Week 10 victory with an ugly 38-10 loss to San Francisco this past Monday.

On the flip side, the Chargers are also having a frustrating campaign, but not quite as frustrating as Arizona’s, as the Bolts countered a solid 4-2 start with losses in three of their last four games, while ranking 14th in the league in points scored and 29th in points allowed on the season (22.7, 25.8 PPG).

I’ll take the over here, as both of these defenses have been terrible recently, highlighted by the Chargers surrendering 31+ PTS in four of their last five games, and the Cardinals’ allowing 24+ PTS in six of their last nine. And I expect that trend to continue with a pair of explosive offenses setting the stage on the other side of the script.

Score Prediction: Chargers 27, Cardinals 24
Best Bet: Over 48 (-110)

LOS ANGELES CHARGERS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Chargers have been of the most difficult squads to trust over the last few seasons. However, if there’s one thing they’ve done consistently, they typically play high-scoring games, highlighted by Justin Herbert and co. scoring 23+ PTS in six-of-ten games this season, while on the defensive side of the ball, allowing a lofty average of 25.8 PPG thus far.

Banking on this L. A.  squad to score points any given week feels risky, especially with the bar for this contest set north of OU 47. However, the Chargers still have one of the most dangerous offenses in the league when they’re firing on all cylinders, and I think we’ll see them get back on track against a Cardinals squad that’s surrendered 31+ PTS in four of their last five games.

ARIZONA CARDINALS BETTING ANALYSIS

Arizona’s 4-7 campaign has been undeniably disappointing thus far, however, you can’t really blame them for their most recent loss, as the Cardinals squared off against one of the top defenses in the league with a backup QB under center, and the result was an ugly 38-10 home loss.

However, Kyler Murray is finally set to return to action after missing the last two weeks, and while I still somewhat doubt they’ll be able to fend off the Chargers’ offense in Sunday’s matchup, they certainly have a much better shot at keeping up with Kyler back in the drivers’ seat.
