In a time where sportsbooks are constantly trying to attract new customers (and retain old ones), we see giants in the industry push out new promos all of the time. FanDuel is no exception. Their Thursday Touchdown Jackpot changes the game, allowing users who bet a touchdown scorer for Thursday Night Football to claim their share of $2,000,000 in bonus bets.

WHAT IS FANDUEL'S THURSDAY TOUCHDOWN JACKPOT?
The rules are simple, choose a touchdown scorer for the given Thursday Night Football game, use your jackpot token, and if your pick scores the first or last touchdown, you share $2,000,000 in bonus bets with everyone else who bet that player!
This introduces an interesting strategy, you want to try and pick the player that others ARE NOT picking. Sure, you can bet Saquon Barkley to score. He likely will, but if 100,000 people bet on Saquon and he scores the first touchdown you are only getting a $10 bonus bet. For a promotion like this, you want to bet a longshot for a chance to win a big bonus bet! This doesn't mean bet someone that doesn't play, but think about betting TE2's or RB2's.
HOW DOES THE JACKPOT PROMOTION WORK?
The promotion requires you to opt-in and place a bet on any touchdown scorer for the given game. Here is a step by step guide on how to get in the action for this promotion:
- Sign up for FanDuel using our FanDuel Promo Code.
- Locate the promotion on your promotions page and click "Claim Now".
- You will be awarded one "Touchdown Sweepstakes Token".
- This token can be used on a pre-live, straight, "anytime touchdown scorer" wager for the given Thursday Night Football game.
- You must bet a minimum of $5 to qualify for this offer.
- If the player you used your token on scores the first or the last touchdown of the game, you will share $1,000,000 worth of bonus bets with everyone who bet that player.
MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE JACKPOT PROMOTION
Let's use an example from when I won this promotion. The Ravens played the Dolphins on Thursday Night Football, and I used Rashod Bateman for my Touchdown Jackpot. He was +400 at FanDuel, and he scored the last touchdown of the game. I bet $5, so I received $25. This was my initial wager in addition to my winnings. But, the best was yet to come.
The next morning, my FanDuel account was loaded with a $71 bonus bet. This was the $1,000,000 jackpot divided among everyone who bet Rashod Bateman to score a touchdown. Not only did I win the bet, but I also got a claim of the $1,000,000 in bonus bets.
THE BEST STRATEGY FOR THE TOUCHDOWN JACKPOT PROMOTION
The best strategy is to take players that y0u think will score. Seems simple enough, right? However, you also want to wager on a player that other bettors are not going to bet on in order to get the biggest share of the bonus bets. In my example above, I bet on Rashod Bateman. He is WR2 on a Ravens team that likes to spread the ball around. This is a strategy I like to use when considering who to bet on for the Touchdown Jackpot.
