The Huskies get the slight nod in this conference matchup as two-point home favorites. The total line for the game opened at 132.5 points.

Seton Hall snapped a straight-up three-game slide with a 17-point win over Providence on Wednesday as -2.5-point road favorite. It is now 7-5 SU in Big East play both SU and against the spread.

The total has stayed UNDER in four of the last seven contests. The Pirates have just one SU win against Connecticut in the last 10 meetings while going 4-6 ATS. They are 1-3 ATS in their last four road games in this series.

The Huskies moved to 5-3 SU in conference play with 12-point victory at home against Butler on Jan. 26 as -5.5-point favorites. They are 7-1 ATS in the Big East with the total going OVER in three of the last five games.

Connecticut has won 10 of its last 12 home games SU while covering in eight of those matchups. The total has gone OVER in six of its last nine games at home.

Sandro Mamukelashvili had the hot hand against Providence in Wednesday’s big win with a 20 points and a stout defensive effort held the Friars to just 43 points.

The senior forward leads the team in both points (17.7) and rebounds (7.1). He is one of three players averaging at least 12 points per game. Guard Jared Rhoden is next on the list with 14.7 points and 6.7 rebounds a game.

The Pirates are averaging 74.2 points a game with 34.8 rebounds. They are shooting 46% from the field and 33% from three-point range. Seton Hall is giving up an average of 71 PPG but that number ballooned to 80.3 points in the recent three-game losing streak.

Connecticut got a big effort from Tyrese Martin in its last victory against Butler with 20 points. The Huskies went on to miss their next two games due to health protocols.

With guard James Bouknight (20.3 points) still out of the lineup due to an elbow injury, Martin has helped to fill the void with 11.9 PPG as one of four players averaging at least nine points on the year.

He also leads the way in rebounds (7.2) with guard RJ Cole averaging a team-high 4.1 assists a game.

The Huskies are scoring 71.3 PPG while shooting 42.9% from the field and 36% from beyond the three-point line. They're pulling down an average of 38.3 rebounds a game while holding opposing teams to just 63 PPG.

Seton Hall-UConn Predictions

These teams match up well against one another on either side of the court. My lean goes towards the Huskies playing at home. They have dominated this series from a SU win standpoint and they continue to be a tough out at Gampel Pavilion.

This is why I'm going chalk in Saturday’s contest both SU and ATS. Each of these teams are coming off a solid effort on defense the last time out and I see that carrying over to Saturday’s contest.

Take the UNDER on the current total line in a lower scoring game than expected.
