WEST VIRGINIA MOUNTAINEERS VS. TEXAS TECH RED RAIDERS PREDICTIONS

The Mountaineers enter this one on a two-game slide, while going 2-3 SU/1-4 ATS across the past five outings. That includes a 77-68 loss against Baylor last time out on Tuesday in Morgantown as the OVER connected. West Virginia shot just 39%, or 24-of-61, from the field, while going just 33%, or 7-of-21, from behind the arc. West Virginia hung in the game with 12 turnovers to 13 for Baylor, while coming up just short 34-29 in the rebounding department. Three Mountaineers went for 17 or more points, with Sean McNeil going for 17 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal while dropping in three triples.

After a disappointing 62-51 loss at Kansas State on Jan. 15, the Red Raiders bounced back at home with a 72-60 win over Iowa State to cover an 8.5-point number. Texas Tech has managed to cover five of the past six outings, while the OVER cashed in each of the past three games at home. Bryson Williams was good for a team-leading 16 points, with most of his damage from the free-throw line, hitting seven of his eight attempts. The Red Raiders were just 19% from behind the arc, going 3-of-16, but still won the game going away as Texas Tech outrebounded Iowa State 36-31 while turning it over just 11 times to 16 times for Iowa State.

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 13-4
  • ATS: 8-9

West Virginia limps into this game with consecutive losses and non-covers, while going 2-3 SU/1-4 ATS across the past five games overall. The OVER has connected in five of the past six games overall, too, with the defense allowing 81.0 PPG in the past two outings.

The good news is that West Virginia has dominated this series in recent times, going 4-1 SU/ATS across the past five meetings, including a sweep of the season series in 2021. In its most recent trip to Lubbock, West Virginia came away with an 82-71 win as 6.5-point underdogs as the OVER connected Feb. 9, 2021. TEXAS TECH RED RAIDERS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 14-4
  • ATS: 11-7
  • O/U: 8-10

The Red Raiders picked up a much-needed win and cover over a ranked Iowa State, bouncing back from a disappointing showing at Kansas State in the most recent road outing. At home, Texas Tech has won all three conference games against the likes of Iowa State, Oklahoma State and Kansas, while covering each of those games. Texas Tech has a perfect 11-0 SU/8-3 ATS mark at home, and the Red Raiders have won 14 straight in Lubbock since, yep, a loss to West Virginia on Feb. 9, 2021.

It's been a roller coaster ride for those betting Texas Tech games. The Red Raiders are 5-1 ATS across the past six games overall, following a 2-4 ATS run in six December games. Prior to that, the Red Raiders had a 4-1 ATS run from Nov. 12-27, including a perfect 4-0 ATS mark in four home games during that stretch.

As far as totals, the OVER-UNDER has alternated in each of the past six outings, with the OVER 3-0 in each of the team's three conference home games, with the OVER holding a 6-5 edge in 11 home games this season.

West Virginia has covered eight of the past 10 meetings in this series. (AP)

WEST VIRGINIA MOUNTAINEERS VS. TEXAS TECH RED RAIDERS BETTING CONCLUSION

West Virginia has dominated this series lately, and the Mountaineers are the last visiting team to celebrate on the United Supermarkets Arena hardwood with a victory. However, the Red Raiders have really fared well at home against conference teams this season, and some trends are made to be broken. Look for the Red Raiders to scratch out a defensive, low-scoring victory while exacting a little revenge after a disappointing season sweep in 2020-21.
