After finishing fourth in the East with a record of 41-31 SU last year, New York briefly kept that same ball rolling with another strong start to this season, as the Knicks opened with a sturdy 11-9 SU and 9-11 ATS run– which included tough victories over the Sixers (2), Bucks, Hawks, Bulls, and Lakers.

The Knicks have looked like a shell of that squad since mid-November though, considering New York enters Friday riding a rocky 14-28 SU skid – despite getting tagged as favorites in 18 of those contests.

On the other hand, Phoenix also posted a strong start to the season, as the Suns kicked things off with a sturdy 27-8 SU and 18-17 ATS run – with 18 of those victories coming by 10+ PTS.

Phoenix has been red hot since the midway point of January though, considering the Suns boast records of 23-4 SU and 16-11 ATS across their last 27 games – while scoring 116.3 OPPG and allowing just 106.5 DPPG during that timeframe.

I’ll take the over here, as Friday’s nightcap should be a relatively high-scoring battle between a Suns squad that’s averaging 119.1 OPPG across their latest 8-2 SU stretch – and a Knicks squad that’s allowing 118.3 DPPG across their current six-game losing streak.

Devin Booker and company clearly just needed a few days to settle into a rhythm though, considering the Suns boast records of 48-9 SU and 32-25 ATS since their opening skid, while ranking fourth in the league in both scoring and offensive efficiency (113.7 OPPG, 1.109 OE) – and on the flipside, ranking sixth in points allowed and third in defensive efficiency (105.6 PPG, 1.109 DE).
