GAME DAY UPDATE: With 45 minutes or so until kickoff, the Rams are -3.5 (-110) in BetMGM's NFL Divisional Round playoff odds. That's on reduced juice, as the Bears are +3.5 (even).

Last Sunday, the Rams opened -4.5, and the line dipped to -3.5 (-115) by Monday morning, before quickly rebounding to -4. Since then, the Rams toggled down to -3.5 a couple times, the latest coming this morning.

"The parlay money is on the Rams. But we have taken some good straight bets on the Bears," BetMGM trading manager Tristan Davis said. "What we want all depends on what happens now in the Texans-Patriots game."

The total is at 49, down from 50.5 opener and Monday's 51 high point, but up from 48.5, where it spent much of the week. It's expected to be bitter cold and windy tonight in Chicago.

LATE WEEK UPDATE: Los Angeles climbed from -3.5 (-118) to -4.5 (-102) Friday morning at DraftKings. There's been a slight juice adjustment since, with the Rams -6 (-105) as of 7 p.m. ET Friday. L.A. opened -3.5 and made a brief trip to -4.5 (-102) on Monday night.

However, spread play is tilted toward the Bears, ay 61% of bets/60% of money. On the moneyline, bet count is almost dead even, but 69% of money is on underdog Chicago.

DK's total is pinned to 48.5, sitting there since Monday afternoon after a relatively rapid descent from the 51.5 opener. It's going to be bitter cold Sunday night, with temperatures in the mid-teens at best by kickoff, and perhaps in single digits.

Add in winds of 20-30 mph, and the wind chill could dip below zero.

All that noted, it's two-way play on the total, with 57% of bets on the Over/57% of money on the Under.

MIDWEEK UPDATE: The Rams are 3.5-point road favorites in Borgata Sports' NFL Divisional Round odds. That's down a point from Sunday night's L.A. -4.5 opener.

"The majority of early money is coming in on Chicago," Borgata sportsbook director Tom Gable said. "The Bears continue to find ways to come from behind. If they get down early [again], I’m sure the in-play wagering on them will continue, as it did against Green Bay.

"The Rams are the sole NFC team remaining that would hurt us in the NFC futures. But they’re a good result for us in the Super Bowl. They were definitely tested against Carolina and now will face freezing temperatures in Chicago."

With those frigid temps in mind – it could be in the low teens or even single digits, with a wind chill below zero – the total is down to 49 from a 51.5 opener.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: Chicago (12-6 SU/11-6-1 ATS) was at elimination's doorstep in the Wild Card Round on Saturday night, trailing Green Bay 21-6 after three quarters. But the Bears scored 25 fourth-quarter points in a wild 31-27 victory as 1.5-point home underdogs.

Caleb Williams threw a 25-yard TD pass to D.J. Moore with 1:43 remaining. The Bears then kept the Packers out of the end zone on a last-gasp final drive.

No. 5 Los Angeles (13-5 SU/11-7 ATS) got all it could handle vs. Carolina, for the second time this season. But this time, the Rams got the win, 34-31 laying 10 points on the road Saturday.

Matthew Stafford and Colby Parkinson connected on a 19-yard touchdown pass with 38 seconds remaining to give L.A. the victory.

In NFL Divisional Round odds, The SuperBook opened the Rams as 3.5-point road favorites, and within minutes Sunday night advanced to Rams -4. The total held steady at 51.

As SuperBook risk manager Casey Degnon alluded to above on 49ers-Seahawks, he expects plenty of parlays running to the Rams, with the book needed Bears outright next weekend.

GAME DAY UPDATE: BetMGM has New England as 3-point chalk, 90 minutes ahead of kickoff. And the book is dealing reduced juice, so it's Patriots -3 (-110)/Texans +3 (even).

On Monday night, the Pats opened -3 (-105) and within 20 minutes dipped to -2.5 (-120). The line returned to New England -3 Tuesday morning and was at various iterations of -3 the rest of the week, before a brief move to -3.5 (even) in the past 30 minutes. Then it returned to Pats -3.

"It's pretty simple. We need a Houston win, but a cover will be fine," BetMGM trading manager Tristan Davis said. "We always want the Under, and we would prefer if there was no defensive or special teams touchdown."

BetMGM's total is at 40.5 (Over -125), so it could leaving 40.5 soon. The number opened at 42.5, quickly dipped to 41.5/40.5 Monday night, went to 41 Tuesday and returned to 40.5 Thursday.

LATE WEEK UPDATE: New England is -3 (-120) in DraftKings' NFL Divisional Round odds, as of 6 p.m. ET Friday. The Patriots opened -3 on Monday night and made multiple trips to -3 (-118) on Wednesday and Thursday.

In spread betting so far, the Pats are drawing 56% of tickets/75% of money.

DraftKings' total is at 40.5 (Over -115), after opening at 41.5 and toggling between 41.5/40.5 a few times early in the week. The Under is seeing 73% of early tickets/75% of early dollars.

MIDWEEK UPDATE: Borgata Sports is painted to Patriots -3 in NFL Divisional Playoff odds, with no movement off that number as of Wednesday afternoon.

"The early money has been on the 'dog here," Borgata sportsbook director Tom Gable said, noting action on the Texans. "Houston’s defense stepped up once again and carried the team against Pittsburgh on Monday night.

"The offense may be without its best receiver in Nico Collins. So it will be the Houston defense once again called upon to keep this close against New England, whose defense limited the Chargers to 3 points."

Borgata's total is on the move, now at 41 after opening at 42.5. Weather could be a factor, with snow possible during the game and temperatures in the mid-30s.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: No. 2 seed New England (15-3 SU/13-5 ATS) survived a rock fight with the L.A. Chargers to advance from Wild Card Weekend. The Patriots' defense made up for a lackluster offense in a 16-3 victory, cashing as 3.5-point home favorites Sunday night.

There was only one touchdown in the game, and it didn't come until well into the fourth quarter. Drake Maye hit Hunter Henry on a 28-yard scoring pass with 9:34 remaining, which turned out to be the last points of the game.

No. 5 Houston (13-5 SU/12-6 ATS) ran its win streak to 10 games in the Wild Card round. The Texans blew open a close game at Pittsburgh with two defensive touchdowns in the fourth quarter, en route to a 30-6 victory as 3-point favorites Monday night.

Houston is 7-3 ATS during their 10-game SU tear.

Moments after Houston's win, The SuperBook opened the Patriots -2.5 in NFL Divisional Round odds. There's been no movement in the early going, late Monday night, but oddsmakers have an expectation for this game.

"No action yet, but I think the public will be on the Patriots, spread and moneyline," SuperBook risk manager Casey Degnon said.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks Odds

SF @ SEA Odds

  • Opening point spread: Seahawks -7
  • Opening moneyline: Seahawks -330/49ers +270
  • Opening total: Over/Under 45.5 points scored
  • Time: 8 p.m. ET Saturday (FOX)

Check out VegasInsider's 49ers vs. Seahawks Predictions, before you bet!

GAME DAY UPDATE: An hour before kickoff, the Seahawks are down to -6.5 (-115) in BetMGM's NFL Divisional Round odds. A week ago, Seattle opened -7 and got to -7.5 in short order, before returning to -7.

Since then, the juice on Seahawks -7 has slowly shifted, then the number dropped to -6.5 at 6:30 p.m. ET.

"Bettors have stepped into the 49ers +7. Straight moneyline bets [also] favor San Fran. But parlay money is on Seattle," BetMGM trading manager Tristan Davis said. "If the Seahawks win, we would need them to cover. We would like to see San Francisco out of the Super Bowl race, as well."

The total is at 43.5 (Over -115), down 1.5 points just today. BetMGM opened at 46.5 and spent much of the week toggling between 45/44.5/44. Today's movement is largely due to concern about the status of Seahawks QB Sam Darnold, who suffered an oblique injury in practice Thursday.

Still, Davis said the book needs the Under tonight, when accounting for parlays, same-game parlays and such.

LATE WEEK UPDATE: The Seahawks are 7-point home favorites in DraftKings' NFL Divisional Playoff odds, just off the opener of Seattle -7 (-120). Seattle spent Monday night and half of Tuesday at various iterations of -7.5, then went to -7 (-120) Wednesday.

As of 7 p.m. ET Friday, the Niners are seeing 72% of early spread bets/65% of early spread money.

DK's total bounced between 45.5/44.5 a couple times this week and is now at 45.5 (Under -118). The Under is taking 59% of bets/67% of cash.

MIDWEEK UPDATE: Seattle is on the move early on in Borgata Sports' NFL Divisional Round odds, after opening as 6.5-point home chalk Sunday night.

"The Seahawks were quickly bet up to a full touchdown favorite and now sit -7.5," Borgata sportsbook director Tom Gable said. "The 49ers are on my Christmas list for next year, after they upset the Eagles in the Wild Card round and eliminated all of the Philly future liability from our books."

San Fran got even more shorthanded in that win, losing star tight end George Kittle to a torn Achilles.

"With another serious injury, we'll see if this MASH unit can continue to produce," Gable said. "Seattle is actually our best-case scenario in both NFC futures and Super Bowl futures, and the Niners wouldn’t be a bad result either."

The total is already down to 44.5 from a 46.5 opener.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: No. 6 seed San Francisco (13-5 SU/12-6 ATS) endured another big injury, losing star tight end George Kittle to a torn Achilles on Sunday. Yet the Niners still found a way to upset Philadelphia 23-19 catching 5.5 points on the road.

Christian McCaffrey had two fourth-quarter touchdown catches, and the 49ers stopped the Eagles' final drive just outside the red zone.

Seattle (14-3 SU/12-5 ATS) grabbed the No. 1 seed with an impressive defensive showing in Week 18. The Seahawks shut down San Francisco 13-3, laying 3.5 points at home.

En route to the first-round bye, Seattle tied for both the NFL's best SU record and best ATS mark.

In NFL Divisional Playoff odds, the Seahawks opened as 7-point favorites vs. the Niners on Sunday night at The SuperBook. There was no spread movement in the first 45 minutes, and the total was also steady at 45.5.

"I assume the public will be on the favorites in both NFC games. Maybe not on straight bets. But between all the parlays and teasers that will involve both the Seahawks and Rams, we will be rooting for an upset on the NFC side of the bracket," SuperBook risk manager Casey Degnon said.

Buffalo Bills vs. Denver Broncos Odds

  • Opening point spread: Pick 'em
  • Opening moneyline: Bills -110/Broncos -110
  • Opening total: Over/Under 46.5 points scored
  • Time: 4:30 p.m. ET Saturday (CBS)

Don't bet on this matchup without reading VI's Bills vs. Broncos Predictions!

GAME DAY UPDATE: The Broncos are laying 1.5 points in BetMGM's NFL Divisional Playoff odds, with -105 juice on both sides. The Bills opened as 1.5-point favorites, but the line flipped to Denver -1 by Tuesday and has been at Broncos -1/-1.5 ever since.

"We've been getting Bills money all day. It seems the public settled on a Buffalo win, so we will want a Broncos victory by 2 points or more," BetMGM trading manager Tristan Davis said.

BetMGM's total is at 45.5, reaching that mark today after opening at 46.5 and spending much of the week at 46. Straight bets favor the Under at BetMGM, but Davis said that with parlays and especially same-game parlays, the book needs the Under.

LATE WEEK UPDATE: This number jumped the fence a couple times this week in DraftKings' NFL Divisional Round odds. Late Sunday night, the Broncos opened -1.5, but the number quickly flipped to Bills -1.5 and stuck there, at various juice, most of Monday.

Then late Monday night, DK flipped to Broncos -1.5 (even), only to return to Bills -1.5 (+102) for a couple hours Tuesday. Since early Tuesday evening, the spread has been at some iteration of Broncos -1.5, and it's -1.5 (-108) on Friday night.

That said, spread play is leaning toward the Bills, at 61% of tickets/64% of money.

DraftKings' total is at 45.5, pinned there since late Tuesday night, after opening at 46.5. It's two-way play, with tickets almost dead even and 56% of money on the Over.

MIDWEEK UPDATE: As of 3:30 p.m. ET Wednesday, Borgata Sports has this matchup at pick 'em in NFL Divisional Playoff odds. The Bills opened as 2-point favorites. That's due in part to a host of Buffalo players banged up and/or out this week.

"Buffalo may not quite be at the San Francisco 49ers' level of injuries. But they are starting to add up for the Bills, especially at wide receiver," Borgata sportsbook director Tom Gable said.

In Sunday's Wild Card win at Jacksonville, Buffalo lost wideout Gabe Davis to a torn ACL.

"Denver is coming in with a week of rest. It’s been mostly Denver money here early, grabbing the +2 and +1.5," Gable said.

Borgata's total nudged from 46.5 to 46.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: Denver (14-3 SU/7-10 ATS) got the No. 1 seed and the bye in the AFC with a relatively easy Week 18 win. The Broncos closed as 14.5-point home favorites vs. a Chargers team resting players, and Denver won 19-3.

That ended a 1-4 ATS slide for the spread-covering-challenged Broncos.

No. 6 Buffalo (13-5 SU/9-9 ATS) won a Wild Card thriller at Jacksonville on Sunday. In a fourth quarter featuring four lead changes, the Bills came out on top 27-24 as a 1.5-point road underdog.

A pair of Josh Allen runs on back-to-back plays – the first for 10 yards on a huge fourth-and-1 – put Buffalo ahead with 1:04 remaining. The Bills sealed it with an interception off a deflected Trevor Lawrence pass.

Late Sunday night, The SuperBook opened Bills-Broncos at pick 'em. Within minutes, the Bills went to -1 in NFL Divisional Round odds.

"I think this will be a pretty split game. I'm not sure who we'll need by kickoff. But I wouldn't be surprised if we need Allen to win for a second straight week on the road," SuperBook risk manager Casey Degnon said.
