After finishing second in the West with a record of 51-21 last year, Phoenix stormed out to another strong start to this season, as the Suns kicked things off with a sturdy 27-8 SU and 18-17 ATS run – with 18 of those victories coming by 10+ PTS.

The Suns have cranked up the heat as of late though, considering Phoenix enters Thursday riding an impressive 17-2 SU and 12-7 ATS stretch – while scoring 115.3 PPG and allowing just 106.1 PPG during that timeframe.

On the other hand, Milwaukee posted a surprisingly slow start to the year, as the Bucks kicked things off with a frustrating 6-8 SU and ATS skid – with four of those SU losses coming in matchups they were favored in.

The Bucks have quietly dominated since that opening stretch though, considering Milwaukee is 29-13 SU across their last 42 games, with 22 of those victories coming by eight points or more – despite sitting just 19-22 ATS across that window.

I’ll back Phoenix here, as the Suns are 17-2 SU and 12-7 ATS in their last 19 games, while averaging just 115 PPG offensively during that span – likely presenting a considerably tall task on the road for a Bucks squad that’s just 11-8 SU and 9-10 ATS across that same timeframe.

Milwaukee has played excellent basketball, when healthy, since mid-November though, considering the Bucks enter Thursday sitting at 29-13 SU across their last 42 games – with nearly half of those losses coming in spot absences of Giannis Antetokounmpo (5).

Phoenix clearly just needed a few days to loosen up though, considering the Suns are now 43-7 SU and 29-21 ATS since their four-game opening skid, while ranking 3rd in the league in both scoring and offensive efficiency (113 PPG, 1.104 OE) – and on the flipside, ranking 6th in points allowed and 4th in defensive efficiency (105.4 PPG, 1.030 DE).
