TENNESSEE TITANS vs. GREEN BAY PACKERS BETTING PREDICTION

The Packers were arguably the biggest disappointment in the league through the first half of the year, as Green Bay followed up back-to-back 13-win campaigns with a frustrating 3-6 skid to open this season, primarily stemming from their offense ranking 27th in the league in scoring at 17.1 PPG during that span.

However, the Packers bounced back with authority in Week 10, as Aaron Rodgers and co. erupted for 31 points on 415 total yards in a thrilling come from behind home victory over the Cowboys this past Sunday, which was a matchup Green Bay was a five-point underdog in.

The Titans, on the other hand, stumbled out to a head-scratching 0-2 start to the season, as Tennessee opened with back-to-back losses to the Giants and Bills, while scoring just 13.5 and allowing 31 PPG in those two affairs.

Tennessee has successfully ridden the coattail of its defense since that point, though, highlighted by the Titans allowing just 15.1 PPG across their ensuing 6-1 run, despite their offense generating just 19.9 PPG across that stretch.

I’ll back Tennessee here, as the Titans have now held their opponent to 20 PTS or less in five straight games, and on the flip side, I think we’ll see Derrick Henry and co. find a decent amount of success against a Packers defense that currently ranks 28th in the league in yards allowed per rush attempt (4.8 YPA).

Score Prediction: Titans 23, Packers 20
Best Bet: Titans ML (+140)

TENNESSEE TITANS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Titans posted a surprisingly poor start to the season, as after earning the top seed in the AFC with a record of 12-5 last year, Mike Vrabel’s squad immediately followed that up by scoring just 13.5 PPG across back-to-back losses to the Giants and Bills in their first two matchups of this season.

However, Tennessee has completely flipped the script on the heels of its defense since starting 0-2, highlighted by the Titans allowing just 15.1 PPG across their latest 6-1 run, and they even won a game with their backup quarterback during that span, as rookie QB Malik Willis threw for 55 yards on just 10 pass attempts in a win over Houston in Week 8.

This Titans squad clearly isn’t built to stand toe-to-toe in a 31-28 shootout like the Packers did in Week 10, however, I still like my chances with Tennessee at plus money in this matchup going up against a Packers squad that currently ranks 25th in the league in scoring at 18.5 PPG, despite their impressive 31-point performance this past Sunday.

GREEN BAY PACKERS BETTING ANALYSIS

Green Bay won the NFC North with a record of 13-4 last season, which narrowly edged Tampa Bay for the top seed in the conference. However, Rodgers’ second straight MVP campaign came to an abrupt halt in the Divisional Round, as the Packers went in cold following a first-round bye and fell to the Niners in a snowy slugfest at Lambeau Field.

The Packers traded away All-Pro wideout Davante Adams this past offseason, which has depleted their receiving core to the ranks of Allen Lazard, Sammy Watkins and Christian Watson. However, nobody thought his departure would derail the operation quite like this, as Green Bay quickly went from ranking Top 10 in the league in scoring last season (26.5 PPG), to ranking Bottom 10 in scoring through the first ten weeks of this season (17.8 PPG).

The Packers may technically rank better than Tennessee offensively at this point and time, however, Green Bay’s defense has now allowed 23+ PTS in seven-of-ten matchups this season (21.6 PPG), which in turn, has made it very difficult for this offense to settle into a rhythm.
