PITTSBURGH STEELERS vs. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS BETTING PREDICTION

The Colts have been an absolute disaster on the offensive side of the ball so far this season, as Indy averaged just 16.5 PPG and turned the ball over a whopping 17 times across their first nine games of the year, quickly resulting in the benching of Matt Ryan and the firing of head coach Frank Reich.

However, the hiring of interim head coach Jeff Saturday seemingly provided a spark for this squad, as the Colts handed the keys back to Ryan ahead of their Week 10 matchup, and it’s worked out pretty well so far, as Indy scored 20.5 PPG and allowed just 18.5 PPG across a 1-1 split against the Raiders and Eagles in their latest two affairs.

The Steelers, on the other hand, have also stunk on the offensive side of the ball this season, highlighted by Mike Tomlin’s squad entering Monday following scoring outputs of 20 PTS or less in eight of their last nine games, resulting in a lackluster record of 27 across that span.

Both of these offenses rank Bottom 5 in the league scoring, with Indy currently ranked 31st at 15.7 PPG and Pittsburgh ranked 28th at 17 PPG. So, I’ll take the under here, as the Colts probably won’t be able to gain much traction with TJ Watt back in the saddle for Pittsburgh, but I also doubt we’ll see the Steelers move the ball consistently against a Colts defense that’s allowed 20 PTS or less in four of their last five games.

Score Prediction: Steelers 20, Colts 16
Best Bet: Under 39 (-110)

PITTSBURGH STEELERS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Steelers were the heaviest moneyline-underdog to pull off an upset in the opening week of the season, as Mike Tomlin’s squad cashed +240 ML tickets with a stunning 23-20 OT road victory over the Bengals back in Week 1.

However, it was tough sledding on the defensive side without the presence of Watt, highlighted by the Steelers surrendering - PPG across their next seven contests leading up to their Week 9 bye. But to be fair, their offense didn’t do them any favors either, as the Steelers enter Monday having scored 20 PTS or less in eight of their last nine games.

The Steelers’ defense is a completely different unit with Watt back in action, despite Pittsburgh giving up 30 PTS in a loss to Cincy last week. And I think we’re due to see them shine again in Monday’s matchup against a Colts’ offense that’s averaging just 15.7 PPG on the season.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS BETTING ANALYSIS

Indy’s offense has been virtually nonexistent so far this season, as the Colts enter Monday having scored 17 PTS or less in six of their last eight contests (15.3 PPG), and to throw another wrench into the equation, they also fired head coach Frank Reich and replaced him with what appears to be a very unprepared Jeff Saturday in Week 10.

However, the Colts are still alive in the hunt for the playoffs with a record of 4-6-1. But I think it’s safe to say that a home loss to Pittsburgh here would pretty much end their chances with Indy staring down the barrel of tough matchups against the Cowboys, Vikings, Chargers, and Giants the rest of the way.
