The 2018-19 NHL season is right around the corner as the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook released season point totals for all 31 teams. Eleven teams racked up at least 100 points last season, led by the Predators with 117 points. Only six squads are expected to bust the triple-digit point mark this season, led by the Lightning, who are listed at 107 ½ points.

The biggest surprise last season (and possibly ever in the NHL) was the emergence of the expansion Vegas Golden Knights. Going into their initial campaign, oddsmakers listed the Golden Knights at 70 ½ points, not expected Vegas to be any kind of factor. Not only did they bust their win total with 109, but they captured the Pacific Division title and reached the Stanley Cup Final. This season, the Golden Knights have been pushed up to 96 ½ points, which is tied with the Ducks and one behind the Sharks for the most in the division.

In the Eastern Conference, behind Tampa Bay is Pittsburgh, as the Penguins are one of four teams owning a point total of 100 or more. The Penguins were knocked out by the eventual champion Capitals in the playoffs last season, as Washington is listed at 98 ½ points after accumulating 105 points en route to its first Stanley Cup title.
