WHAT IS THE VEZINA TROPHY?

The Vezina Trophy is awarded to the NHL's best goalie at the end of the regular season. The winner of this award is voted on by the NHL general managers and is named after former Montreal Canadiens goalie Georges Vezina.

George Hainsworth won the first three awards back in the late 20's. Jacques Plante has won the award seven times, which is the most of any goalie. Plante won the award five consecutive years from 1955-1960.

Andrei Vasilevskiy won the most recent award for the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2025-26.
