WHAT IS THE VEZINA TROPHY?

The Vezina Trophy is awarded to the NHL's best goalie at the end of the regular-season. The winner of this award is voted on by the NHL general managers, and is named after former Montreal Canadiens goalie Georges Vezina.

George Hainsworth won the first three awards back in the late 20's. Jacques Plante has won the award seven times, which is the most of any goalie. Plante won the award five consecutive years from 1955-1960.

Connor Hellebuyck won the most recent award for the Winnipeg Jets in 2024. Hellebuyck became the first goalie to capture the honor twice since Sergei Bobrovsky did so in 2012-13 and 2016-17.
