Odds Subject to Change

Colorado is a somewhat surprising home favorite, entering its clash with Oregon as a -2-point favorite. Oregon is 5-4 ATS this season while the Buffs are 6-4. This makes the spread a bit tricky, especially with oddsmakers leaning towards Colorado.

The point total is set at 140.5, which Colorado typically goes UNDER on. Colorado has gone UNDER the point total in seven of its last 10 games this season. Oregon is 5-4 on the O/U this season.

Betting Analysis – Oregon Ducks

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 8-1
  • ATS: 5-4
  • SU - Home: 6-0
  • SU - Away: 2-1
  • O/U: 5-4

Oregon is on an eight-game winning streak, after losing its opening game to Missouri. The Ducks are dangerous, even though the team is riddled with injuries such as N'Faly Dante.

The Ducks have experience, beginning with senior Eugene Omoruyi who averages 18 points per game. Chris Duarte and LJ Figueroa are two other seniors who contribute on offense as well.

Figueroa is big on the glass, averaging 7.5 rebounds per game. Eric Williams is a big factor in Oregon's success as well, averaging 12.7 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. The Oregon defense is what makes this team truly dangerous though, posting an 88.5 defensive efficiency ratings which ranks 39th in the nation.

Oregon averages 4.4 blocks per game (56th in the nation), while also averaging 8.4 steals per game (47th in the nation).

Betting Analysis – Colorado Buffaloes

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 7-3
  • ATS: 6-4
  • SU - Home: 4-0
  • SU - Away: 3-3
  • O/U: 3-7

Colorado is a defensive team, led by many experienced players. McKinley Wright IVmay go down as one of the best Buffaloes in Colorado history, while Evan Battey has become one of the most reliable upperclassmen in the conference.

Jeriah Horne, Dallas Watson and Maddox Daniels round out the rest of the productive seniors. Much like Oregon, the strength for this team is defense - allowing 61.7 points per game which ranks 30th in the nation.

Colorado doesn't average the same total of steals and blocks Oregon does, as the Buffs have also struggled in free throws lately. Yes, what comes up must come down - and Colorado had the best free throw shooting percentage in the country a week ago. Since the three-game road series, Colorado has fallen to third. Not terrible, but it is something to watch.

  • OREG - Liam Robbins (14.2 PPG, 7.6 RPG)

  • CU - Jeriah Horne (10.7 PPG, 5.8 RPG)

Oregon-Colorado Predictions

Despite this small spread, this game seems like it may come down to the last possession. Oregon is the slightly better team, but Colorado's defense and experience at home is also tough to wager against.

In terms of the point total, it will come down to whether or not Oregon can touch 80 points. This is important to consider, because the last time Colorado faced a decent offense they allowed 50 first half points to Arizona. That game was on the road however, as Oregon is having to travel to a tough climate.

This is the toughest game to wager on for Thursday, but simplifying it all go with the odds - which favors UNDER. Colorado has gone UNDER in seven of 10 games this season. The safest bet for this nightmare game to wager on seems to be taking the Buffaloes experience and defense at home, as the winner from there might come down to who sees the ball last.

  • Score Prediction: Oregon 70 Colorado 69
  • Best Bets: UNDER
