UPDATE 5:30 P.M. ET TUESDAY: This morning, PointsBet USA pegged Gonzaga a 3.5 point favorite on the WCC Tournament odds board. Shortly thereafter, the Zags dropped a full point to -2.5, where the line remains now, 3.5 hours before tipoff. However, the move is in contrast to the wagering.

"Spread action is favoring Gonzaga, at 71% of bets and handle. And moneyline action is [almost] entirely Gonzaga, with 95% of the handle at -150," PointsBet USA media analytics manager Wyatt Yearout said. "The book will be rooting for St. Mary's, barring drastic late action on the Gaels."

The total opened at 138.5 and climbed to 139.5 this afternoon. Ticket count is almost 9/1 on the Over, but money is significantly closer, just shy of 2/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 2:30 A.M. ET TUESDAY: Gonzaga and St. Mary's both went 14-2 in regular-season conference play. Both got a bye straight to the WCC Tourney semifinals, but the Gaels were awarded the top seed. And they played like a No. 1 in Monday night's semifinals – for 25-plus minutes.

St. Mary's led fifth-seeded BYU 56-33 with under 15 minutes remaining. But the Gaels then got outscored 34-15, allowing the Cougars to pull within four at 71-67 with 54 seconds remaining. The Gaels held on for a 76-69 victory, narrowly cashing as 6.5-point favorites.

St. Mary's (26-6 SU, 17-12-2 ATS) is 17-2 SU in its last 19 outings (9-8-1 ATS; one game not lined). But one of those losses came at Gonzaga in the regular-season finale, 77-68 as a 5.5-point road 'dog.

In Monday's second semifinal, Gonzaga (27-5 SU, 12-18-1 ATS) fended off the challenge of pesky No. 6 seed San Francisco. The Bulldogs notched an 84-73 victory, failing to cash as healthy 14.5-point favorites.

The Zags are on an eight-game SU win streak (5-3 ATS). However, that run began after the Bulldogs' 78-70 overtime loss at St. Mary's as 3.5-point road pups on Feb. 4.

Within the past hour, DraftKings opened Gonzaga as a 3-point chalk on the WCC Tournament betting odds board. And in the past few minutes, the Bulldogs climbed to -3.5 at DK. The total opened at 140.5, a number eclipsed in both regular-season meetings between the Bulldogs and the Gaels. The total is unchanged so far in the wee hours. Tuesday night's tilt will mark the sixth time in the last eight WCC finals that St. Mary's and Gonzaga have met. Going back further, the Gaels and Zags are meeting in the title game for the 11th time in the last 15 seasons. Gonzaga is 7-3 SU in the previous 10 meetings.
