Virginia vs No. 12 Tennessee Odds

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET MONDAY: This matchup is a quasi-neutral-site contest, being played at Nashville's Nissan Stadium.
Behind Hendon Hooker, Tennessee was in the College Football Playoff odds picture last season before a Week 10 loss at Georgia. Subsequently, Hooker tore his ACL in a Week 12 upset loss at South Carolina.
Tennessee finished 11-2 SU and a solid 10-3 ATS. In the Orange Bowl, the Vols – minus Hooker – beat Clemson 31-14 as 4-point underdogs. Hooker has since moved on to the NFL, a third-round pick of the Detroit Lions.
Virginia is coming off a 3-7 SU/4-6 ATS season. The Cavaliers canceled their final game, against Virginia Tech, in the aftermath of a campus shooting in which three players were killed and one was injured.
Caesars Sports' Virginia-Tennessee spread quickly got bet up to Vols -28.5 between May 20-22. The line has been stable at -28 since June 5. The total reached 58.5 in late July, but over the past few days dropped to 56.
