UPDATE 7 P.M. ET FRIDAY: As kickoff approaches, Texas is at its high point as a 15.5-point favorite at BetMGM. The point spread has been on an up-and-down ride this week. After opening Longhorns -14 Sunday, the number plunged to -12.5 within 24 hours.

But Texas got back to -14 Wednesday afternoon and tonight hit -14.5 and -15.5. Ticket count is just shy of 2/1 and money 2.5/1-plus on the Longhorns.

The total fell from 53.5 to 52.5 by Wednesday, then got back to 53.5 this evening. Tickets are running 4/1 and money 2.5/1-plus on the Over.

UPDATE 8:30 P.M. ET MONDAY: Texas (10-1 SU/5-6 ATS) is on a five-game SU run and stemmed a 1-3-1 ATS skid in Week 12. The Longhorns went to Iowa State as 6.5-point faves and exited with a 26-16 victory

Texas Tech (6-5 SU/5-6 ATS) is on a three-game SU upswing that assured bowl eligibility. In Week 12, the Red Raiders eked out a 24-23 home win laying 2 points against Central Florida.

TwinSpires pegged Texas -14 to open and made a stop to -13 on the way to the current -12.5. The Longhorns are netting 59% of spread tickets, while 61% of spread money is on the Red Raideres.

"Sharp play on Texas Tech +14 and +13," Lucas said.

The total hasn't moved off 53, with 58% of early tickets/64% of early money on the Over.
