Tech Trends – Week 11

KENT STATE at TOLEDO...Flashes 3-1 vs. line in MAC while Rockets no cover last three vs. line TY (0-2-1). Home team is 7-0-1 vs. line in Toledo games to date in 2019!

BALL STATE at WESTERN MICHIGAN...Cards have been pretty good value TY, covering 4 of last 5, , also 4-1 as dog and 4-0 vs. spread away from Muncie. WMU 8-14 vs. spread since late 2017.

MIAMI-OHIO at OHIO...As usual, Miami picking up pace beyond midway point of season, wins and covers in last two. Now 19-7 vs. spread in last half of reg season since 2015. Solich only 2-6 vs. line TY and no covers last five at Athens since late 2018.

UL-LAFAYETTE at COASTAL CAROLINA...Cajuns hot 7-1 vs. line TY, now 14-2-2 last 18 reg season games on board! Napier 9-0-1 vs. spread last ten away from Lafayette in reg season. Chants did score mild 30-28 upset LY.

TEMPLE at SOUTH FLORIDA...Owls have taken a licking in their last two TY and in fact are 0-3 SU and vs. spread away. Home team 7-1 vs. spread in Temple games TY, but Bulls just 4-10 vs. spread last 14 in Tampa.

UCF at TULSA....UCF just snapped 4-game spread L streak but had stood 12-4 vs. line in previous 16 for Heupel (and 13-4 last 17 overall), prior to non-cover vs. Houston. Tulsa is 4-1 as DD dog TY but just 4-5 last nine as home dog.

WASHINGTON at OREGON STATE...Note that road team has covered last four in series. Huskies 5-1 vs. line last six away from Seattle. Beavs however have covered 6 of last 7 this season (5-1 last six as dog).

CLEMSON at NC STATE...Dabo has covered 5 of last 6 this season and is actually on 14-3-1 spread run since mid 2018. Pack just 1-6 vs. points last seven TY and no covers last five as dog.

FLORIDA STATE at BOSTON COLLEGE...FSU no covers last 3 as road chalk, also no covers last five or right of last nine away from Doak Campbell since LY. Addazio 11-3-1 last 15 as dog. Interim Odell Hagins 2-0 SU and vs. line as FSU HC (both and end of 2017 including bowl win vs. USM).

GEORGIA TECH at VIRGINIA...Tech 1-9-1 last eleven vs. spread since late 2018, though 1-1-1 last three. Cavs have covered last 2 and 3 of last 4 meetings, though Bronco 2-5 vs. spread last seven TY.

TEXAS TECH at WEST VIRGINIA...WVU has covered last three and won last five outright in series.

LOUISVILLE at MIAMI-FLA... Satterfield 5-3 vs. line TY with Cards, now 18-6-1 last 25 on board at ‘Ville and App. Diaz 1-4 as chalk vs. FBS-level foes TY.

NOTRE DAME at DUKE...Brian Kelly no covers last four (0-3-1) as visiting chalk. Cutcliffe 1-1-1 as dog TY but 27-13-2 in role since 2013. Included was win at ND in 2016.

MARYLAND at OHIO STATE...Bucks have covered seven in a row since Kiffin opener. Locksley fading at 2-5 vs. line last seven TY, Terps have however covered 2 of last 4 meetings but OSU has not scored beneath 49 in the five meetings since 2014.

UMASS at ARMY...Army no wins last five, just 1-5 vs. line last six TY. Mass, however, just 1-8 vs. spread in 2019. Monken no covers four at Michie TY and just 1-7 vs. line last 8 as host.

UCONN at CINCINNATI...Note UConn has actually covered 2 in a row vs. Cincy prior to LY. Huskies 2-2 vs. line away TY but just 6-15 vs. spread overall since LY. Bearcats 7-3 last ten vs. spread at Nippert, 4-3 last seven laying DD.

ILLINOIS at MICHIGAN STATE...Lovie has won and covered last 3 TY and rides 4-game cover streak at moment, longest Illini spread win streak since 2013 when Tim Beckman was still the HC. Lovie 5-5 vs. line last ten Big Ten road. Dantonio no covers last four TY and just 7-13 vs. line since LY. At home, MSU on 1-11 spread skid.

WAKE FOREST at VIRGINIA TECH...If Clawson a dog note 10-3 spread mark last 13 on road in role. If Hokies chalk note 0-4 mark in role at Blacksburg TY.

APP STATE at SOUTH CAROLINA... App State is 4-1 last five as dog, and 18-6-1 overall last 25 on board sine late 2017 (5-3 TY after GaSo loss).

PENN STATE at MINNESOTA...Unbeatens! James Franklin 3-0 vs. line away TY. Fleck, however, has covered last five TY and is 13-7-1 vs. spread since LY, 6-3 last nine as dog.

VANDERBILT at FLORIDA...Derek Mason had dropped 7 in a row vs. line prior to Mizzou upset, now 1-8 vs. spread last nine on board. Note Gators have failed to cover their last four after facing Georgia, though Mullen has covered five straight in the Swamp.

PURDUE at NORTHWESTERN...Purdue has actually covered 4 of last 5 this season. Meanwhile many of the once-strong Pat Fitz spread trends taking a beating TY as Cats slip to 2-6 vs. line. Fitz however has won 5 in a row SU vs. Purdue and has covered four of those.

AIR FORCE at NEW MEXICO...Bob Davie had dominated this series, winning 4 of previous five SU and six in a row vs. line, prior to losing 42-24 LY. Lobos 0-4 vs. line at home TY, now 1-11 vs. spread last 12 at Albuquerque!

STANFORD at COLORADO...Tree 0-3 vs. line away TY, no covers last five away from Farm, though Shaw was 8-3 last 11 as road chalk entering 2019 (0-1 in role TY). If Buffs a dog note 2-0 mark at home in role TY (though CU is 0-2 as home chalk). CU was 0-4 the past two years as home dog for MacIntyre. CU has never scored more than 10 points in four previous vs. Tree since entering Pac.

UTSA at OLD DOMINION...ODU is 0-4 vs. line at home TY, 13-21-1 last 35 on line overall. if favored note Monarchs 2-8 last ten as chalk (0-2 TY).

USC at ARIZONA STATE...Helton 5-13 vs. spread last 18 away from Coliseum, if laying points no covers last 3 as road chalk. Herm 7-4 as dog since LY.

WYOMING at BOISE STATE...Bohl 10-3 vs. line since mid 2018, also 17-11 last 28 as dog. Bohl had covered 3 in a row vs. Boise prior to LY. Broncos 5-2 vs. line TY and 3-1 as home chalk, up from previous marks in role.

LIBERTY at BYU...Sitake was 5-0 as DD chalk LY and has covered last six in role. Flames just 1-4 getting DD since LY.

CHARLOTTE at UTEP...Ugh! Miners 0-4 vs. line at Sun Bowl TY, 1-11 last 12 and 2-13 last 15 vs. spread as host. 49ers only 1-3 vs. spread away TY.

BAYLOR at TCU...Frogs have covered last 2 at Fort Worth but were 1-6 previous 7 vs. spread as host. Baylor only 4-4 vs. line after WVU games but is still spotless 8-0 SU. TCU 4-1 SU and vs. line last five in series.

EAST CAROLINA at SMU...Ponies 5-2 vs. line last seven as host. ECU only 4-4 vs. line, 2-2 as road dog TY. Dismissing pre-2019 numbers for Pirates.

SOUTH ALABAMA at TEXAS STATE...USA has actually covered 3 of last 4 this season which beats Texas State, just 1-6-1 vs. spread for Spavital. Bobcats 0-4-1 vs. spread last five in San Marcos vs. FBS foes.

LSU at ALABAMA...Not a big game or anything! Oregeron has covered four straight away from home and 7-1 as dog past two seasons. LSU no SU wins vs, Bama since 2011. Saban only 5-6 vs. spread last 11 at Tuscaloosa.

NEW MEXICO STATE at OLE MISS...Ags no covers last three TY and just 7-17 vs. points last 24 on board since late 2017, though 4-3 last 7 vs. line against Power 5. Rebs 5-3 last 8 as Oxford chalk.

WESTERN KENTUCKY at ARKANSAS...Tops have covered five of last six TY, 7-2-1 last ten as road dog. Hogs only 3-8 last 11 on board vs, number.

IOWA STATE at OKLAHOMA...Matt Campbell 17-8-1 as dog with ISU, he’s also 3-0 vs. spread against Sooners. OU just 10-11-1 vs. line since last season.

UAB at SOUTHERN MISS...Blazers 15-5-1 vs. spread last 21 vs. C-USA foes. USM 1-2 as dog TY but entered 2019 with 7-3 record as dog previous two years.

GEORGIA SOUTHERN at TROY...Trojans just 2-6 vs. line for Chip Lindsey, and just 1-4-1 vs. spread last 6 as host stretching back to mid 2018. Eagles 3-0 as away dog since LY after App upset, and have won and covered 4 of last 5 meetings in series.

TENNESSEE at KENTUCKY...Cats have only beaten UT outright twice (2011 & 2017) since 17-12 win in 1984 for Jerry Claiborne. Vols have covered 6 of last 7 in series. UK however is 4-1 vs. line at Lexington TY. Vols have covered their last four in 2019.

MISSOURI at GEORGIA...Mizzou no covers last three TY, and no wins or covers last four away since late 2018. Tigers however have covered last four in series. Bulldogs just 1-4 vs. line at home TY.

KANSAS STATE at TEXAS...Tom Herman 1-3 vs. line at home TY, 2-5 last seven vs. spread at Austin, and Herman 4-9 as home chalk with Horns (8-19 last 27 as chalk with Houston and Texas). Bill Snyder was 15-5 last three years as a dog and now Klieman 3-1 in role.

NORTH TEXAS at LA TECH...UNT fading, 4-14 last 18 on board. LT has won and covered 4 of last 5 in series, and Bulldogs have covered last three TY.

GEORGIA STATE at ULM...Panthers growling with four wins and covers in a row and 4-0-1 vs. spread last five TY. ULM 2-6 vs. spread this season, 6-16 last 22 on board. GSU has won and covered last two meetings.

FIU at FAU... Shula Bowl! Kiffin has rolled over Butch Davis past two years by combined 101-38. FAU 6-3 vs. line TY, while FIU a bit disappointing at 2-7.

UTAH STATE at FRESNO STATE...Both a bit disappointing this season. USU 1-4 vs. line last 5, FSU 2-4 vs. spread last 6. Bulldogs still 23-10-3 vs. spread under Tedford.

IOWA at WISCONSIN...Ferentz 6-1-1 vs. spread last 8 on Big Ten road. Badgers however have won and covered last three in series. Wiscy 4-1 as Camp Randall chalk TY after 1-6 mark in role LY.

WASHINGTON STATE at CAL...Cal 0-4 SU, 1-3 vs. line last four TY. Bears also 0-4 vs. spread as host TY and 1-9-1 vs. spread at home since LY. Wilcox however 6-2 last 8 as dog. Cougs 4-1 last five as road chalk.

NEVADA at SAN DIEGO STATE...Pack 1-5 vs. spread last six on reg season road. Jay Norvell 4-10 as DD dog. Rocky Long has recovered from LY’s 3-10 spread mark, covering 5 of first 7 TY.

SAN JOSE STATE at HAWAII...SJSU has covered last 3 at Aloha Stadium and Spartans 4-1 last five as road dog. Leahey Bows 2-13-1 last 16 vs. line as MW host.
