The 2020 FedEx Cup Playoffs will begin on Thursday August 20, 2020 as the top 125 golfers in the FedEx Cup Standings will look to take home the hardware and win a grand prize of $15 million.

The event is a series of three golf tournaments.

• Aug. 20 - The Northern Trust – TPC Boston, Norton, Massachusetts
• Aug. 27 - BMW Championship – Olympia Fields Country Club, Olympia Fields, Illinois
• Sept. 4 - Tour Championship – East Lake Golf Club, Atlanta, Georgia

After each tournament, the field continues to get adjusted. The Northern Trust will have 125 golfers before 70 golfers battle in the BMW Championship.

The last event is the Tour Championship and only 30 golfers will participate in that tournament.

Per the PGA -- The first two Playoffs events award 1,500 points to the winner (triple points of Regular Season events), while the Playoffs Finale, the TOUR Championship, features a strokes-based system (FedExCup Starting Strokes) instituted for the first time in 2019. The player with the lowest total score will win the FedExCup and be credited with an official victory in the TOUR Championship competition.

Dustin Johnson dominated The Northern Trust with a score of 30-under, winning the event by 11 shots as a 20/1 betting choice. 

DJ has been made the favorite at 14/5 odds (Bet $100 to win $280) to win the FedEx Cup as the playoff heads to Chicago for the BMW Championship.

Justin Thomas was the favorite prior to The Northern Trust and has dropped to 19/5 odds (Bet $100 to win $380).
