Kansas City Chiefs vs. Las Vegas Raiders Predictions
After finishing second in the AFC West with a record of 8-8 last year, the Raiders stormed out to an exceptional start to the new season, as Derek Carr and company kicked things off with consecutive victories over the Ravens (+3), Steelers (+5), and Dolphins (-4) – despite getting tagged as underdogs in two of those affairs.
Since their 3-0 start though, Las Vegas hasn’t played so well, highlighted by the Raiders entering Sunday night’s contest following losses in three of their last four games – with their only victories across that timeframe coming against the Eagles and Broncos.
On the other hand, Kansas City is off to a surprisingly mediocre start to the new season, considering the Chiefs enter Sunday’s affair tied with Denver for last place in the AFC West with a record of 5-4 – while scoring just 24.6 PPG on offense and allowing 25.2 PPG on defense.
The Chiefs can only be blamed for so much of their underwhelming start though, considering Kansas City has already squared off against a vicious gauntlet of opponents in the Browns, Ravens, Chargers, Bills, Titans, and Packers.
I’ll lay the points with Kansas City here, as the Chiefs are seemingly destined to explode offensively – while the Raiders enter Sunday’s event following losses in three of their last five games, while scoring just 21.2 PPG across that window.

Kansas City Chiefs Betting Analysis
Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)
- SU: 5-4
- ATS: 2-7
- O/U: 4-5
- ATS - Home: 0-5
- ATS - Away: 2-2
Since the beginning of the Patrick Mahomes era in Kansas City, it’s incredibly uncommon to see the Chiefs struggle during the first half of the season like this, considering they previously posted three straight perfect 4-0 starts before stumbling out to a 5-4 start this year.
Making excuses for powerhouses like Kansas City isn’t fun, but the Chiefs’ schedule was absolutely ruthless to kick off the year, highlighted by losses to Baltimore, L.A., Buffalo, Tennessee, and Green Bay through the first nine weeks – which should make them feel extra comfortable in matchups against middle-tier divisional opponents like the Raiders.
Las Vegas Raiders Betting Analysis
Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)
- SU: 5-3
- ATS: 4-4
- O/U: 4-4
- ATS - Home: 2-2
- ATS - Away: 2-2
Immediately following the resignation of Jon Gruden, Las Vegas gained a brief spark for about two whole weeks, as the Raiders thumped both the Broncos and Eagles by double-digits during their first matchups under head coach Rich Bisaccia.
The Giants conjured a solid defensive strategy for them in their latest matchup though, as New York held the Raiders to just 16 PTS by forcing three turnovers throughout last Sunday’s affair – so, my expectations regarding Vegas offensively are somewhat low.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Las Vegas Raiders Betting Conclusion
After picking up a second straight victory over Green Bay last week, the Chiefs head into Sunday night’s contest favored by roughly a field goal over the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium – marking the fifth straight road matchup Kansas City has been favored in.
I’ll lay the points with the Chiefs, as Kansas City is due to significantly ramp up offensive production here soon – which is why I’m also backing Mahomes to throw three touchdown passes at plus odds in Sunday night’s affair.
