DALLAS COWBOYS vs. LOS ANGELES RAMS BETTING PREDICTION

The Cowboys have been on quite the rollercoaster to open the season, as Dak Prescott and co. scored just three points on 244 total yards in an ugly 19-7 loss to the Bucs in Week 1. However, Dallas bounced back with Cooper Rush at the helm in Weeks 2 through 4, as the Cowboys posted consecutive wins over the Bengals, Giants, and Commanders in their following three contests, while averaging a modest 22.7 PPG on 336 YPG across those victories.

The Rams, on the other hand, have been a mess on the offensive side to start the season, as Matt Stafford and co. averaged just 9.5 PPG on 250 YPG and turned the ball over five times in an ugly pair of losses to the Bills and Niners in Weeks 1 and 4. However, they also averaged 25.5 PPG on 338 YPG in a pair of wins over the Falcons and Cardinals in Weeks 2 and 3.

Both of these squads have leaned heavily on defense thus far, highlighted by the Cowboys surrendering 19 PTS or less in all four of their matchups this season (15.5 PPG), and the Rams holding their opponents to 23.5 PPG, despite their offense turning the ball over nine times through Week 4. I’ll take the under here, as nobody’s scored 20 PTS on Dallas yet, and after seeing L. A.’s miserable offensive showing in San Francisco this past Monday (9 PTS, 257 YDS), I doubt the Rams will be the first to do so. However, I still expect their defense to keep Dallas in check, and maybe even carry them to a victory.

Score Prediction: Rams 20, Cowboys 17
Best Bet: Under 43 (-110)

DALLAS COWBOYS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Cowboys won the NFC East with a record of 12-5 SU last season, earning the third seed in the conference and a home playoff matchup against San Francisco on Wild Card Weekend. However, their title hopes fizzled out quickly, as the Cowboys’ top-ranked scoring offense generated just 17 points on 307 total yards en route to a stunning home loss to the Niners in the opening postseason round.

I wouldn’t exactly call their first-round playoff loss a “disappointment,” especially after San Francisco went onto upset Green Bay in the Divisional Round, and came just three points shy of punching a ticket to last year’s Super Bowl. However, for a squad that owns a 61-40 regular season record since 2016, you’d think the Cowboys would have more than one playoff win to show for their consistent success since drafting Prescott.

LOS ANGELES RAMS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Rams won the NFC West with a record of 12-5 last season, and ultimately went on to win the Super Bowl. However, the Rams weren’t the flashiest squad throughout year, as their offense averaged 27 OPPG on 373 YPG, and defensively, they allowed 21.3 DPPG on 333 YPG; which is nothing to be ashamed of, but it doesn’t exactly scream title contender.

When healthy, Los Angeles is the cream of the crop in the NFC, and in the grand scheme of things, Matt Stafford’s lingering elbow injury doesn’t concern me all that much. However, the injuries are starting to pile up for L. A.’s O-line, and it’s getting ugly quick, as the Rams have now scored 20 PTS or less in three-of-four matchups to open the season, while turning the ball over nine times and surrendering 16 sacks in those affairs.
