-- Liverpool (-770) survived a scare at home against Brighton & Hove but managed to cash as the largest favorite in Matchday 3 of the EPL.

-- Leicester City (+225) captured a 2-1 road win over Southampton, the highest return among ‘dog winners.

-- Tottenham (+200) scored three second-half goals on Monday to stun Manchester United at Old Trafford.

-- The largest ticket of the weekend came on Saturday as Wolverhampton earned a 1-1 home draw (+400) against Manchester City. Coincidentally, the Wolves won the Championship last season while Man City is the reigning Premier League champion.

Notable Trends

-- West Ham United has started 0-3, getting outscored 9-2. The Hammers have seen the ‘over’ connect in all three of their setbacks.

-- Chelsea is also 3-0 to the ‘over’ this season.

-- Cardiff City, one of three newly promoted clubs, hasn’t scored a goal yet this season. Fortunately, they’ve only allowed two and that’s helped the ‘under’ cash easily in all three of their matches.

-- Bayern Munich (-500) was the largest favorite to win in Matchday 1, a 3-1 home decision over TSG Hoffenheim.

-- Wolfsburg (+200) connected as a home underdog with a 2-1 victory over Schalke 04. That effort was tied for the best return (2/1) last week with Eintracht Frankfurt, who defeated Freiburg 2-0 on the road.

-- Borussia Dortmund (-135) fell behind 1-0 before scoring four unanswered goals for a 4-1 home win over RB Leipzig.

-- The five combined goals between the pair were also the most of the nine games played.

Serie A – Italy

-- Matchday 2 of the Italian league didn’t see one underdog cash but there were four draws.

-- Of the four draws, two of them ended 2-2 and one finished 3-3. The six-goal shootout occurred Monday as Roma survived a home scare from Atalanta, with the return bringing back just over 3/1 odds (+310).

-- Juventus (-220) and Fiorentina (-225) connected as heavy home favorites with victories over Lazio and Chievo respectively.

-- Fiorentina posted a 6-1 decision, which was the highest scoring game of the week and young season.

Notable Trends

-- Chievo has surrendered nine goals in its first two games, resulting in two easy ‘over’ tickets.

-- Bologna had trouble scoring last season and they’ve failed to score in each of their first two games in this campaign.

-- Cristiano Ronaldo has taken 11 shots for Juventus, seven on target, and still hasn’t managed to find the net in two games.

Ligue 1 – France

-- Paris Saint-Germain (-910) remained perfect last week with a 3-1 home victory over Angers SCO, connecting as the highest favorite of the week.

-- Dijon (+260) was the largest underdog to cash in Matchday 3, posting an emphatic 4-0 road win at Nice. The club from the Eastern region in France and known for its mustard has also returned tickets of +390 and +155 this season.

-- The largest payout in Matchday 3 took place on Sunday as Marseille and Rennes played to a 2-2 draw. The tie returned 7/2 odds (+350).

Notable Trends

-- PSG and Dijon are the only teams to start 3-0 in Ligue 1 and both teams have the same goal differential (+7) as well.

-- Guingamp and Angers have failed to earn a point (0-3) through three games and both clubs have allowed eight goals, tied for last in Ligue 1.

La Liga – Spain

-- Barcelona has only scored four goals in two games while allowing zero and that’s resulted in back-to-back ‘under’ tickets.

-- Three teams have failed to score in their first two league games – Real Valladolid, Deportivo Alaves and Real Betis.
