South American football is dominated by Brazil and Argentina, but this is the first time since 2007 that the two teams have met in the final of Copa America.

The tournament has been hosted in Brazil, but all matches have been played behind closed doors, meaning Brazil’s home advantage is greatly, and perhaps entirely, negated.

Brazil have had an easier ride to the final than Argentina and may finally meet their match.

Messi’s Barcelona future is in serious doubt, but his form for Argentina has arguably never been better.

If he carries that on then Argentina look very good value to lift the trophy at 6/4.

Argentina Betting Outlook

Argentina swept past Ecuador 3-0 before winning a nervy penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw with Colombia.

Argentinian football has been in constant turmoil for what seems like a decade, but they have quietly improved recently under lowkey head coach Lionel Scaloni.

They are unbeaten in 19 matches and look appealing underdogs here.

Lionel Messi is the key to their chances. He has never won this competition, losing the 2015 and 2016 finals on penalties to Chile before being knocked out by Brazil 2-0 in the 2019 edition.
