The Western Conference Finals will pick back up on Thursday night for Game 5 when the visiting Dallas Mavericks clash with the Golden State Warriors. Coverage on TNT begins at 9 p.m. ET from Chase Center

The Mavericks avoided a sweep and kept their season alive with a 119-109 home victory vs. the Warriors in Game 4. Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic scored 30 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for his 10th double-double of the postseason. Doncic also added nine assists to narrowly miss a triple-double. Dorian Finney-Smith produced 23 points on 9-for-13 shooting. Reggie Bullock responded after shooting 0-for-10 in Game 4 to tally 18 points on six 3-pointers.

No team in NBA history has ever come back from a 3-0 series deficit. The Warriors entered the contest on a nine-game winning streak in the Western Conference Finals dating back to 2018.

Warriors superstar Stephen Curry scored 20 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. It was his 100th career playoff game with at least 20 points, according to The Associated Press. Jonathan Kuminga went for 17 points and eight rebounds off the bench. Jordan Poole chipped in 14 points off the bench as well.

The Mavericks led by as many as 29 before the Warriors trimmed the deficit to eight late in the fourth quarter with their bench unit. However, once the starters were re-inserted, the Mavericks pulled away for good as Doncic scored or assisted on nine points down the stretch.

The Mavericks shot 41-for-82 from the field (50 percent) and drained 20 of their 43 3-pointers (46.5 percent). The Mavericks held the Warriors to 10-for-28 3-point shooting (35.7 percent). The Warriors missed nine of their 26 free throws (65.4 percent).

There was heavy rain outside and the game was delayed coming out of halftime because of a leak in the roof at the 21-year-old American Airlines Center, marking the second such stoppage this season at home for the Mavericks.

The Warriors played without Otto Porter Jr., who sustained a sore left foot in Game 3. Porter Jr. averaged 10.5 points on 82 percent shooting in the first two games.

The Warriors are favored by seven points over the visiting Mavericks in Game 5. The Warriors are 4-1 against the spread in their last five contests and 10-0 SU in their last 10 home matchups.

Meanwhile, the Mavericks are 1-5 against the spread in their last six road contests and 5-15 SU in their last 20 games at Golden State. The Mavericks are 12-6 against the spread in their last 18 games vs. the Warriors.

The over/under is set for 215.5 for Game 5. The OVER was achieved in Game 4 but the total has gone UNDER in six of the last nine contests for the Mavericks. Overall, the total has gone OVER in 14 of the last 20 contests between the Mavericks and Warriors. Count on the OVER again anchored by high scoring outbursts from Curry and Doncic.

Either the Warriors will head to their sixth NBA Finals since 2014-15 or the Mavericks will stave off elimination once again. The Mavericks will put up a fight to cover the spread but the Warriors will capture the Western Conference title.
