What’s Going On?

It’s a matchup that includes a phrase that hasn’t been heard often in the last few years when discussing NFL football: the first-place Chicago Bears are on the road against the last-place Green Bay Packers. That’s right, Da Bears who have had one winning season in the previous nine years, are in first place courtesy of their opening-week road upset at San Francisco.

The Bears are big underdogs, getting 10 points with a money line of +375. The home team is -500, and the total is 41 ½.  So how can you possibly win $200 when betting $10 straight up on the dog gets you $38 and that same wager on the home team gets you $2? That’s the power of that VIBONUS code. When you open your new BetMGM account with that code, and you bet either team for a $10 money line play, you’re getting $200 in free play if there’s a touchdown scored in the game!

(Not available in PA or NY!)

Why Should You Care?

What was the last NFL game you can remember where there wasn’t a touchdown scored by either team? That's exactly why you shouldn’t miss out on this opportunity from BetMGM. You also shouldn’t let that double-digit point spread get into your head. When these two finished their home and away series at Lambeau last year, the line was -11.5 and the Pack won by 15.

College football is just starting, and this is just the second game of a long NFL season. When you get a chance to get a 20-1 bump of free play for a small wager, you really should take advantage of the opportunity to help build your bankroll. Almost every sports betting expert on VegasInsider can tell you a story of when they turned a little free play into a lot of real money. It happens every weekend, and Week 2 might be your time!

Can Chicago Beat The Packers For The First Time Since 2018?

Justin Fields completed just eight passes against the 49ers, although 25% of them were touchdowns. The Bears’ total offense of 204 yards was the lowest of Week 1, and they still won their game. Last season, by comparison, the Texans were last in the league in offense and averaged 278 yards a game. When a team has 121 yards receiving and 99 yards rushing, it’s hard to pull much optimism from the box score. Sure, Chicago fans are saying it’s a road win, and their team is undefeated, but it’s going to be a long season if they don’t do better than that.

Chicago had the sixth-best defense in the league last year allowing 316 yards a game. They gave up 340 to the 49ers. Again, grabbing the win is all that matters, especially in the first road game of the year, but they won’t be facing Trey Lance this week.

Are The Packers From Week 1 The Same Team We’ll See In Week 2?

Last year the Packers opened at the Saints and lost 38-3. They proceeded to score 38 next week at home and went on to score 24 or more in the next seven straight. Last week Aaron Rodgers didn’t even finish the game, as his team scored the lone AJ Dillon rushing TD.

Most of the Pack’s wins come by outscoring the other team, and last year they were mid-pack in the league’s defensive stats. At home, it’s a little different, and only two teams scored more than 22 on them last year in Green Bay. One of them was Chicago in that 45-30 game in Week 14. The Packers finished their regular season on a 10-2 run ATS.

BetMGM NFL Special Offer: Bet $10, Win $200 Promo Code VIBONUS

You have to make a $10 money line play to get the BetMGM deal. Plus, it has to be a new account, and when you make your deposit, you must use the VIBONUS bonus code. Take the $2 from your Packers money line play, and don’t focus on the fact you only won $2. Instead, remind yourself about that $200 you’re getting in free play. If, you’re looking for more action than a play on a -480 favorite, take the Packers team total over 26 ½ too. Hopefully, the Cheeseheads will do exactly what they did in their second game last season.
