The Los Angeles Dodgers will travel across the country on Tuesday night to face off against the team closest to them by record in the National League. The Giants are in third place in the division and are behind 27.5 games. By all accounts, the Dodgers are winning this division. This series should prove a playoff atmosphere with a packed stadium and could very well be the preview for the National League Championship Series.
The New York Mets were off on Monday after winning three of four against the lowly Rockies. They ended the weekend on a sour note as they were shut out 1-0 at home. Brian Servin provided the lone sac fly to notch the win. The Dodgers wrapped up a series against the Marlins with a 3-2 win in Miami. They won the series 3-1 by a combined score of 22-10.

His last three starts have been shorter stints which included a two-inning start bookended by two starts totaling just 11 innings. He faced the Dodgers once this season and went 5.2 innings, allowing two earned runs in an eventual 2-0 loss.
The total is set to 8.5 with both the under and over listed at -110. The Dodgers have seen the over four times in their last five games. The Mets have trended in an opposite direction, seeing the total go under in five of their last six contests. The last eight meetings between these clubs have resulted in the under hitting at a 5-2-1 clip.
