The Colts finished just a win shy of making the postseason last year, but they have continued their 2021 disappointment into 2022. After falling to two bottom tier teams, we really believe the Colts have reached rock bottom, and the only place to go is up.

The Colts have zero time to focus on the ‘what if’ of weeks one and two, and now welcome the Kansas City Chiefs led by MVP caliber QB Patrick Mahomes. He comes into this game with 595 yards on 54-of-74 passing and has thrown 7 touchdowns. He has not recorded a turnover in the 2022 season.

The Chiefs come into this game at 2-0 following a Thursday night thriller in Kansas City. The Chiefs were down most of the game and after tying the game at 17, were on defense against Herbert. The Chargers drove all the way down to the 5-yard line before a game-changing pick six for the Chiefs, and they never relinquished the lead again.

It is only Week 3 and the Colts are in desperation mode. The aspirations were big in Indianapolis following a monster season by Jonathan Taylor and the ferocious offensive line led by Quenton Nelson. Following two road games to open the season, the Colts will finally have the friendly confines of Lucas Oil Stadium as their backdrop. The Chiefs will continue to alternate home games and road games with Week 3.

FanDuel Sportsbook has the Chiefs listed as a sizable road favorite, laying just short of a touchdown. You can either take the Chiefs at -6.5 at -104 odds or the Colts +6.5 at -118 odds. A $100 wager on the Chiefs will net you $96.15, while the wager on the Colts will earn you $84.75.

The Chiefs are 1-1 on the season against the spread with a big cover in Week 1. In Week 2 the Chiefs were covering late before the Chargers slipped through a tiny crack in the back door but would end up losing by a field goal. Last season the Chiefs were great ATS, as they covered eight of their last ten contests.

The Colts have failed to cover both of their games this season. In the last few seasons, the Colts were ironically great ATS when facing a team with a winning record, holding a 21-10 record in such situations in the last 31 games. The road team has covered five of the last seven meetings between these two franchises.
