The Arizona Cardinals will square off with the host Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday in a Week 2 matchup. Kickoff is slated for 4:25 p.m. ET from Allegiant Stadium. Coverage will be televised on CBS. 

The Kansas City Chiefs routed the host Cardinals 44-21 in Week 1. Patrick Mahomes torched the Cardinals’ defense for 360 yards and five touchdowns through the air. The Cardinals allowed 480 yards of total offense and 33 first downs. The Cardinals scored two of their three touchdowns in the four quarter after the game was out of reach. Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray went 22-for-34 with 193 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. Murray rushed for 29 yards on five carries, with a long of 21.

The Los Angeles Chargers edged the visiting Raiders 24-19 in Week 1. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert completed 26 of his 34 passes for 279 yards and three touchdowns against the Raiders’ defense. 

The Raiders’ defense allowed 355 yards of total offense and 18 first downs. Raiders quarterback Derek Carr went 22-for-37 with 295 yards, two touchdowns, three interceptions, and five sacks. Carr’s touchdown passes were to Brandon Bolden (18-yarder) and Davante Adams (3-yarder). Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson converted both of his field goals, one of which came from 55 yards. 

The Cardinals’ offense ranks tied for 16th in rushing yards (103.0), tied for 15th in points per game (21.0), and 26th in passing yards (179.0). Wide receiver Greg Dortch leads the Cardinals with seven receptions for 63 yards and three first downs. Wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown has tallied four receptions for 43 yards and two first downs.

Running back James Conner has 26 yards on 10 carries with three first downs. Conner has also caught five passes for 29 yards and three first downs. Running back Eno Benjamin has four carries for 28 yards and one touchdown. 

Defensively, the Cardinals rank last in points per game allowed (44.0). Safety Budda Baker leads the Cardinals with 13 tackles. Safety Jalen Thompson has recorded nine tackles. Linebacker Zaven Collins has seven tackles and a team-best two tackles for loss. Cornerback Marco Wilson, linebacker Dennis Gardeck, and defensive tackle Rashard Lawrence each have a forced fumble. Cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. has a fumble recovery. 

The Raiders’ offense ranks 12th in passing yards (256.0), tied for 22nd in points per game (19.0), and 29th in rushing yards (64.0). Adams leads the Raiders with 10 receptions for 141 yards, a touchdown, three catches over +20 yards, and eight first downs. Tight end Darren Waller has recorded four receptions for 79 yards, two catches over +20 yards, and four first downs. Wide receiver Hunter Renfrow has a fumble and two first downs. Running back Josh Jacobs has 10 carries for 57 yards, with a long of 18 and one first down. 

Defensively, the Raiders rank tied for ninth in points per game allowed (24.0). Safety Johnathan Abram is tops for the Raiders with 12 tackles. Defensive end Maxx Crosby has tallied 10 tackles and one tackle for loss. Cornerback Natt Hobbs has nine tackles, two tackles for loss, a pass deflection, and a forced fumble. Linebacker Divine Deablo has seven tackles. 

As of Sept. 14, notable players on the injury report for the Cardinals include wide receiver Rondale Moore (questionable), wide receiver Andy Isabella (questionable), offensive tackle Rasaad Coward (out), Thompson (questionable), and defensive end J.J. Watt (questionable). 

Prior to Sept, 15, some of the players on the Raiders’ injury report are center Andre James (questionable), cornerback Anthony Averett (IR), linebacker Denzel Perryman (questionable), wide receiver D.J. Turner (IR), and Bolden (questionable). 

The Raiders are favored by five points against the Cardinals. For the money line, it’s Cardinals +190 and Raiders -220. The over/under is set for 51.5 points. Count on the over occurring in a game that will be high scoring and filled with offensive highlights. 

The Raiders lead the all-time series 6-4 vs. the Cardinals. 

The Cardinals will cover the spread and defeat the Raiders for their first victory of the season.
