PITTSBURGH STEELERS VS. BALTIMORE RAVENS PREDICTIONS

After winning the AFC North with a record of 12-4 SU last year, Pittsburgh stumbled out to a disappointing start to this season, as the Steelers opened with a frustrating 1-3 SU and ATS skid – while generating just 16.7 PPG on 302 YPG across that window.

The Steelers’ offense has played much better since their opening stretch though, considering Pittsburgh is 7-4-1 SU and 6-6 ATS across the last 12 games – while averaging 21.7 PPG on 320 YPG offensively during that timeframe.

On the other hand, Baltimore jumped out to an excellent start to the season, as the Ravens kicked things off with a sturdy 5-1 SU and 3-3 ATS run – which included tough victories over the Chiefs, Colts, and Chargers.

Health issues quickly caught up with Baltimore during the back half of the season though, considering Baltimore is just 3-7 SU and 5-5 ATS across the last ten games – highlighted by Lamar Jackson not participating in four of those SU losses.

I’ll take the points with Pittsburgh here, as not only is Lamar Jackson expected to miss Sunday’s affair, but Baltimore is also banged up defensively, having surrendered 27.2 PPG across the last five games – while I anticipate maximum effort from a Steelers squad in what’s expected to be Ben Roethlisberger’s final performance before retirement.

The Ravens enter Sunday’s contest as four-point home favorites over the visiting Steelers, which marks the first time Baltimore has been favored since facing Pittsburgh in Week 13 (PIT +4).

The total for Sunday’s affair is stationed just north of OU 40 at most shops – marking the lowest over-under set for a Ravens’ game all season.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 8-7-1
  • ATS: 7-9
  • O/U: 6-10
  • ATS - Away: 3-4

After an impressive 12-4 SU showing last year, Pittsburgh posted a surprisingly slow start to this season, as the Steelers opened with losses in three of their first four games – with two of those losses coming in matchups they were favored in.

Pittsburgh propelled itself into the playoff hunt with some gutsy performances down the stretch though, considering the Steelers sit at 7-4-1 SU and 6-6 ATS across the last 12 games, highlighted by their offense scoring 25+ PTS five times during that span – and their defense surrendering 20 PTS or less seven times.

BALTIMORE RAVENS BETTING ANALYSIS

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 8-8
  • ATS: 8-8
  • O/U: 8-8
  • ATS - Home: 5-3

After finishing second in the AFC North with a record of 11-5 SU last year, Baltimore stormed out to an excellent start to this season, as the Ravens opened with a sturdy 6-2 SU run – while averaging 27.6 PPG on a whopping 428 YPG offensively during that timeframe.

Baltimore has looked like a shell of that squad since the onset of Lamar’s lingering health issues though, considering the Ravens are just 2-6 SU in their last eight games – while averaging just 19.1 PPG on 329 YPG offensively across that stretch.

The Steelers are 7-3 SU in their last ten matchups against Baltimore. (AP)

PITTSBURGH STEELERS VS. BALTIMORE RAVENS BETTING CONCLUSION

After posting a fifth straight loss last week, the Ravens enter Sunday afternoon’s matchup as four-point home favorites over the visiting Steelers – marking the first time Baltimore has been favored since Week 13.

I’ll take the points with Pittsburgh here, as despite getting tagged as underdogs in eight of the last 12 games, the Steelers sit at 8-4 SU across their latest stretch – while Baltimore has lost five straight and will be without Lamar again this Sunday, seemingly setting the stage for one last victory lap for Big Ben.
