HOW TO READ THE F1 ODDS MARKET

The "Odds to Win" wager in F1 requires the bettor to select a winner for the race. Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen and Valtteri Bottas are typically the most popular choices.

There are other markets for each race as well, including Top 2, Top 3 (also known as a "Podium Result"), Top 6 and Top 10 finishes for each driver. Bettors may also select on a "Team to Win", selecting the constructor to win rather than an individual driver.

Other popular wagers for an F1 race include "Safety Car Appearance", "Drivers to Classify" and "Driver Matchups".

For the "Safety Car Appearance" wager, a bettor selects whether the safety car makes an appearance on the circuit. This wager is popular for narrow circuits in which wrecks are inevitable. This wager is different from the "Virtual Safety Car Appearance", in which a 'virtual' safety car is deployed on the circuit instead of the real one for low damage crashes.

"Drivers to Classify" allows bettors to select which drivers will finish, or fail to finish, a race. "Driver Matchup" wagers offer two drivers, in which the bettor selects which driver will finish the race in a better position.
