Stanford vs Utah

Both Stanford and Utah have hit the skids of late as the two Pac-12 squads meet tonight in Salt Lake City.

The Cardinal have lost four straight games, while the Utes have dropped four of their past five contests.

Stanford is 1-4 in its last five games away from Palo Alto with the lone victory coming at Arizona State.

Utah started Pac-12 play with six consecutive home wins before losing to Arizona and Arizona State. The Utes return home following three straight road games, capped off by a loss at Colorado.

Stanford won the first meeting at home, 79-73 as Utah missed 8-of-12 free throw attempts, but still hit 13-of-32 three-point attempts.

Look for Utah to rebound tonight at home and cash against Stanford.

Pick: Utah -8.5 (-110)

Saint Mary's vs Pepperdine

Saint Mary's @ Pepperdine Under 137.5 Total Points (-110)

Both teams have been involved in several higher-scoring games of late, but everything finally points to much more of a defensive affair in this contest finally here at Pepperdine on Thursday night.

Just a great situational play overall for a few different reasons. Saint Mary's is 23-6, including a perfect 8-0 on the road. 6-2 ATS. Pepperdine is just 12-18 overall, but 9-7 SU and 8-6 ATS.

The Waves play with revenge here after a humbling 103-59 loss at the Gaels in the middle of the month and note that Pepperdine has seen the total go "under" the number in seven of its last ten in trying to avenge a SU/ATS conference road loss vs. an opponent.

Saint Mary's is off the 88-62 win over San Diego and it's now seen the total go "over" the number in three straight, which is significant to note as the Gaels have in fact seen the total go "under" the number in eight of their last 12 after playing to three or more straight "overs" in a row.

The overall situation that each team finds itself in points to the "under" as the correct call as far as the total is concerned in this one!
