UPDATE 1:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Just a few minutes ago, BetMGM's Seamus Magee had this to say: "We just don't want the game to land on A&M by 3. Miami +3.5 is a small loser."

However, moments later, Aggies by more than the current -3 became much more important.

"We just took some heavy Miami money on +3. The need is A&M," Magee said of wanting the Aggies to cover.

BetMGM had A&M -7.5 on a lookahead line, reopened Sunday at -4.5, then went to -5.5. But the line has crept down ever since, bottoming out at 3 flat this afternoon.

Conversely, the total rose from 47.5 to 50.5. Ticket count is 2.5/1 and money almost 4/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 1 P.M. ET FRIDAY: This line tumbled right out of the gate. BetMGM opened A&M -7.5 back on Aug. 23, reopened Aggies -5.5 Sunday after both teams' Week 1 wins, then dropped to A&M -3.5 by Monday morning.

The Aggies rebounded to -4.5 Tuesday, but fell back to -4 Thursday and -3.5 moments ago this afternoon. Texas A&M is seeing 54% of early spread tickets, while 61% of early spread money is on Miami.

BetMGM's moneyline moved from A&M -200/Miami +165 to -175/+145. The Hurricanes are landing 79% of tickets/64% of money.

The total is out to 51 from a 47.5 opener at BetMGM, with 82% of tickets/88% of cash on the Over.

UPDATE 2 P.M. ET MONDAY: Texas A&M (1-0 SU and ATS) warmed up for this Week 2 SEC-ACC clash with a home game against New Mexico. The Aggies closed as healthy 38.5-point favorites and coasted 52-10.

Miami (1-0 SU and ATS) opened against Miami (Ohio) in Week 1 and breezed to a 38-3 victory giving 16.5 points at home.

Last season, Texas A&M and Miami met in Week 3, with the Aggies winning 17-9 as 6.5-point home favorites.

TwinSpires is already down a point on this matchup, to Aggies -4. Texas A&M is getting 63% of early bets, while 60% of early money is on Miami.

"Sharp play on Miami +5," Lucas said.

The total is up a notch to 49, with 54% of tickets/61% of money on the Over.
