Georgia vs. Alabama Pick

What a matchup! Keelon Russell has looked great for Alabama, boasting a 4.44% big-time throw rate and a 91.4 PFF rating.

To date, Georgia has played the 83rd-ranked schedule, whereas Alabama has played the 33rd-ranked schedule. Even with this context, Alabama ranks better in most advanced stats compared to Georgia.

Georgia ranks 14th in net EPA/play, whereas Alabama ranks 7th. Alabama ranks 2nd in net adjusted EPA/play, whereas Georgia ranks 31st. Alabama is 1st in offensive success rate, whereas Georgia ranks 20th.

There are a lot of things working in Alabama's favor in this matchup. They should come out victorious, and Russell gets his first major win.

Georgia vs. Alabama Prediction: Alabama Crimson Tide Moneyline (+130)

Texas A&M vs. Missouri Pick

Missouri has a better big-time throw rate than turnover-worthy play rate. The same cannot be said about Texas A&M. Both of these teams are strong, but Missouri has a slight edge on both sides of the ball and has played a tougher schedule. Missouri ranks 12th in net adj. EPA/play and 24th in defensive success rate. Texas A&M ranks 43rd in net adj. EPA/play and is weak in the passing game.

Missouri gets a win in this SEC matchup.

Texas A&M vs. Missouri Prediction: Missouri Tigers -3.5 (-110)

Texas vs. Oklahoma Pick

We have seen Arch Manning and this Texas offense stall in two situations: away from DKR and against good defenses.

We all know that John Mateer has not lived up to his hype, but the Oklahoma defense is still one of the best defenses in the SEC and likely the country. They rank 1st in defensive success rate allowed and 10th in net adj. EPA/play, whereas Texas' offensive success rate ranks 40th.

Oklahoma should be able to shut this Texas offense down, muck this game up, and keep this low-scoring affair close.

Texas vs. Oklahoma Prediction: Oklahoma Sooners Moneyline (+265)

UCLA vs. Oregon Pick

This game is going to be a lot closer than what people think. UCLA's net adjusted EPA/play ranks 14th in college football, which is 4 spots better than Oregon's 18th ranking for that same metric.

The weakest unit in this matchup is going to be Oregon's defense. They rank 101st against the rush, 129th in early-down EPA allowed, and 123rd in average 3rd-down distance allowed.

UCLA should be able to set their offense up for success with Wayne Knight and the run game. This should open up the offense for UCLA and allow them to control the game.

UCLA vs. Oregon Prediction: UCLA Bruins Moneyline (+360)

Houston vs. Kansas State Pick

Houston has a nice matchup against Kansas State. Houston's biggest weakness is against the passing game, but that also happens to be Kansas State's biggest weakness on offense.

Houston ranks 6th in offensive success rate and 30th in net adjusted EPA/play, whereas Kansas State ranks 41st in net adjusted EPA/play.

Houston's offensive attack is slightly more balanced, and they have taken care of the football better than Kansas State, boasting a 0.6% turnover-worthy play rate. Give me Houston in this Big 12 matchup.

Houston vs. Kansas State Prediction: Houston Cougars Moneyline (+120)
