Heisman Trophy odds for the 2024 season continue to shape up, with 14 weeks of the season in the books. And the biggest liability just happens to be leading the way, now by a mile.

Colorado two-way standout Travis Hunter is all alone and creating massive separation atop odds to win the Heisman Trophy. Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty is a distant No. 2 choice.

Colorado wideout/defensive back Travis Hunter has been lapping the field almost all season in wagering on 2024 Heisman Trophy odds. At BetMGM, he's No. 1 by a mile in money count.

Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty just overtook Hunter in ticket count. But that's only because Hunter's odds are so strong that it's now pointless to bet on him.

Two weeks ago, Hunter was -500. A week ago, he was -900. In Colorado's 52-0 Week 14 blowout of Oklahoma State, Hunter had 10 catches for 116 yards and three touchdowns. And he had an interception on defense.

So BetMGM moved him all the way to -10000 in Heisman odds.

"Travis Hunter is the best player in college football. Everyone thought that coming into the season," Magee said. "He's our No. 1 liability for the Heisman, and that won't be changing anytime soon."

Jeanty is just barely ahead of Hunter in ticket count. But Hunter has taken more than twice as much money as Jeanty.

Others To Watch

The above headline should probably just be "Other To Watch." Because Jeanty is the only other player who could possibly win the Heisman Trophy. And even that prospect is quite unlikely.

But not for lack of results. In Week 14, Jeanty filled up the boxscore again. He had 37 carries for 226 yards and a TD in Boise State's 34-18 road win over Oregon State.

Jeanty has now rushed for 2,288 yards and 28 touchdowns. Massively impressive numbers. Yet he's now the +2500 long-shot second choice in BetMGM's Heisman Trophy odds.

BetMGM only has two other players on the board in odds to win the Heisman Trophy: Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel and Miami quarterback Cam Ward.

But they are so far back as to be invisible. Gabriel and Ward are both +25000 (250/1) to win the trophy.

Just two weeks ago, the top six players in Heisman odds were +1800 or shorter. Now, there aren't even six players listed, just three long shots and the massive favorite Hunter.
