Kansas State played their way into the Top-25 with their third straight victory. The host Cowboys are also undefeated but remain on the outside of the rankings. This would be huge motivation alone for Oklahoma State to send a message to the rankings, while K-State will do everything to validate their ranking – and exciting early start to their season.

Kansas State Wildcats vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys Predictions

Upset city in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The Wildcats saw starting QB Skyler Thompson go down against Nevada and backup Will Howard pick up without any notice. It feels like K-State should be a little higher in the rankings, fitting the tune of disrespect they’ve gotten from analysts.

But they rely on such a solid offensive line, that not taking as many shots down field hasn’t hurt them. Oklahoma State’s passing attack is as non-threatening as the Wildcats, limiting the opportunities for the Cowboys. K-State isn’t afraid of anyone with that OL and should be just good enough on the ground to pull out the victory.

Kansas State Wildcats Betting Analysis

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 3-0
  • ATS: 2-1
  • O/U: 1-2
  • ATS - Home: 2-1
  • ATS - Away: 0-0

The Wildcats found their QB – and backup for that matter – and even more important an identity. Chris Klieman has his kids believing they can beat anyone on the field, and his OL playing like it. They won’t have to push the ball down the field often in the air, mainly because their opponent can’t do that either. Let’s be real, OKSU needed a late comeback to beat Boise State and only amassed 74 passing yards. K-State has a pathway to an outright victory.

Oklahoma State Cowboys Betting Analysis

Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)

  • SU: 3-0
  • ATS: 1-2
  • O/U: 1-2
  • ATS - Home: 0-2
  • ATS - Away: 1-0

There’s one angle for the Cowboys that the Wildcats haven’t been able to create – or at least take advantage. Adjustments have been a way of life in some games for the Cowboys, whereas K-State has played their game to success. If the Cowboys must turn to their passing game, it will be easier for them to adjust than the opposite for K-State. We don’t know how comfortable the Wildcats will be relying on their QB’s arm, as opposed to a general running game. It might be enough to get a close win.

The Kansas State Wildcats have covered the spread in six of their last eight road games. (AP)

Kansas State Wildcats vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys Betting Conclusion

The upset is looming, but nothing comes easy in this game. The 6 points are too much to lay in a close game for Oklahoma State, no matter them being the home team. I don’t but Stillwater’s atmosphere is worth 3 full points in this game, especially with K-State being able to control the football. The Cowboys may sneak by and secure a victory, but it will be at the expense of a Wildcats cover.
