TULSA GOLDEN HURRICANE vs. TEMPLE OWLS BETTING PREDICTION

It has been sort of a trying season for the Golden Hurricane of Tulsa so far. It started with a heartbreaking 40-37 overtime loss at Wyoming on Sept. 3, before ticking off a couple of wins over Northern Illinois and Jacksonville State of the FCS. It had a couple of near-misses at Ole Miss and home to Cincinnati, losing both of those outings by 10 or fewer points. That's what makes what happened at Navy last time out inexplicable, as the Golden Hurricane were blasted 53-21, suddenly finding themselves 2-4. Of course, seeing as Tulsa is awful in rush defense, perhaps the blowout against ground-based Navy isn't that shocking.

The Owls have struggled mightily on the road this season, getting outscored 124-16 in three losses. Temple will be glad for a little home cooking, as it is 2-1 SU/3-0 ATS in the City of Brotherly Love, including a shutout win over UMass, and a 16-14 loss to Rutgers, easily covering an 18.5-point number. The UNDER is 2-0 in Temple's two home games against FBS foes, too.

Tulsa and Temple have split the all-time series 3-3, with the Golden Hurricane picking up a 44-10 win over the Owls last season to halt a three-game losing skid in the series. The 34-point margin of victory for Tulsa was the largest in the series to date.

It is tremendous against the pass, ranking 6th in the nation, but that's because everyone game plans to run, run and run some more against the Golden Cane.

Tulsa heads into this one 7-3-1 ATS in the past 11 games overall, while going an impressive 35-16 ATS in the past 51 on the road. However, Tulsa is just 2-6 ATS in the past eight against losing teams, while going 0-3-1 ATS in the past four games in the month of October.

TEMPLE OWLS BETTING ANALYSIS

The Owls of Temple have had a tale of two seasons. It cannot get out of its own way on the road, while looking like an actual FBS team when playing at home. To see the Owls catching nearly two touchdowns on its home field looks like a gift, so take advantage, although it's so far to say the words, "Give me Temple plus the points."

The Owls are just 4-9 ATS in the past 13 games at home, although 3-0 ATS this season so far. It is also 7-19 ATS in the past 26 games overall, while going 1-4 ATS in the past five appearances on Friday, and 3-14 ATS in the past 17 games inside the conference, too.

The only concern with taking Temple is that it cannot exploit what Tulsa does the worse, stop the run. The Owls rank just 127th with 79.7 rushing yards per game. Still, Tulsa is just 1-2 ATS in three road games this season, so Temple should be able to make this one respectable.
