After the conclusion of the 2025 U.S. Open Championship, VegasInsider has analyzed Google search results of 200 golfers in 100+ countries and every state in the US to find out who have been the most searched-for golfers of the year thus far.
Initially, a comprehensive list of the top 100 male and 100 female golfers was compiled, encompassing active professional golfers, retired legends, and golf influencers. Subsequently, their Google search results of the first 6 months of 2025 were compared using Google Trends, in order to find out who have been the most searched-for names in different countries and all the American states.
WORLDWIDE RESULTS

According to the analysis results, the legendary Tiger Woods emerged as the most googled male golfer in most countries worldwide, ranking as the #1 most searched-for in 81 countries.

When looking at the Google search results in the United States, Tiger Woods was the most searched-for golfer of 2025 in all the American States except for North Dakota, where Tom Hoge turned out to be the #1 most googled. Despite being born in North Carolina, Tom Hoge grew up in Fargo, North Dakota, and won multiple state-level championships in the state, which explains his popularity in the area.
