Post-Round 1 Update
LATEST UPDATE: The top of the leaderboard is loaded with players who didn't draw much action. And of course, one who did, in Scottie Scheffler.
Scheffler is among seven players tied for the lead at 3-under 67 through the first round. So of course, the world No. 1 remains the favorite in The SuperBook's PGA Championship odds, and is in fact much stronger for now.
Scheffler hit Round 1 as +500 chalk, and Thursday night, he's into +175.
Xander Schauffele follows at +900, one shot back and tied for eighth after a 68. Schauffele was +1800 pre-tourney. Jon Rahm, two shots back at 69, is the +1200 third choice, a slight adjustment from his pre-tourney +1400.
"We have liability on Scheffler, but do very well to almost all the others on top," SuperBook risk manager Fred Crespi said. "We do very well to Xander, Min Woo Lee, Ryo Hisatsune and Martin Kaymer. Rahm is good, too."
Lee, Hisatsune and Kaymer are all part of the seven-way tie for first. Lee shot from +5000 pre-tourney to the +1400 fourth choice. Hisatsune can still be had at +4500, while Kaymer is a distant +17500 (175/1).
Brooks Koepka was +4000 before Round 1 and is now +2500 after a 1-under 69. He's among The SuperBook's concerns to win the title.
"We need to dodge Koepka and Alex Smalley," Crespi said.
Smalley is in that first-place tie after a 67, and he's now +3000 in 2026 PGA Championship futures.
Reigning Masters champ Rory McIlroy closed as the +1000 second choice pre-tournament, followed by Cameron Young at +1200. McIlroy did himself no favors with an opening 4-over 74, plunging to +8000.
Young was a little steadier, posting a 1-over 71. Still, he slid out to +3000 in PGA Championship futures odds.

Supporting Spieth
LATEST UPDATE: As the tournament begins, Scottie Scheffler is the +450 favorite in BetMGM's 2026 PGA Championship odds. As is the case at other sportsbooks, Scheffler is followed by Rory McIlroy at +900 and surging Cameron Young at +1200.
Scheffler is No. 1 in ticket count by a modest margin, with Young No. 2 and McIlroy No. 3. But Scheffler is more dominant in money, drawing 2.5 times more than Young.
That noted, BetMGM would take Scheffler or Young this week.
"World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and the in-form Cameron Young are great results for customers in the outright market," BetMGM senior trader Matt Wall said.
BetMGM's biggest concern in PGA Championship futures is someone a few slots down the list. Jordan Spieth, who opened +4500 and was out to +6600 Wednesday, is 10th in tickets and money.
But at those odds, there are enough bets and dollars to make liability stack up.
"The biggest liability is Jordan Spieth, as BetMGM customers dream of the former world No. 1 finally completing the career grand slam," Wall said. "Two other American plays who have found form recently and have been well backed are Rickie Fowler and Brooks Koepka."
Fowler was a +15000 long shot when PGA Championship odds first hit the board, and a week ago was still at +6600. He entered the tournament at +5000.
Koepka entered the tourney at +4000, matching his opening odds. He's among the leaders in tickets and money, at No. 6 and No. 4, respectively.
Playing Favorites?
LATEST UPDATE: On May 11, three days ahead of the first tee shot, Scottie Scheffler is the +500 favorite in The SuperBook's PGA Championship futures. That's slightly longer than Scheffler's +400 opener, when numbers first went up in December.
Scheffler has one win this year, in his first event, the American Express in January. So by his standards, he's probably running behind pace of the past couple years. Still, in nine events, he has six top-10 finishes, including second place in each of his last three events.
And that includes taking second at the Masters, one shot behind Rory McIlroy.
"Bettors are backing Scheffler, as he is toward the top in terms of ticket count and has taken the most money so far. Although with his odds only at 5/1, he is still a winning result for us," SuperBook risk manager Casey Degnon said.
McIlroy has just five starts this season and has played just once since winning the Masters on April 12, his second straight green jacket. That one appearance since came in this past weekend's Truist Championship, where he was the +600 favorite, but finished tied for 19th.
McIlroy is the +900 second choice in PGA Championship odds, sliding out a bit from his +700 opener.
"There's not a huge push for Rory," Degnon said. "There are a bunch of smaller bets on him. He is among the leaders in tickets, but nowhere close in terms of money."
Climbing Cam
LATEST UPDATE: Cameron Young is on a heater of late, finishing top seven in five of his last six starts. That includes a big win in The Players Championship, followed by a third-place effort at the Masters, where he was very much in contention until late in the final round.
And he recently notched his second win of the season, in the Cadillac Championship on May 3. All that has helped lead to significant movement in The SuperBook's 2026 PGA Championship odds.
"Young opened at 60/1 back in December and is now currently the lowest he has been, at 12/1," Degnon said of the third choice. "He does have some liability from smaller bets along the way, but he's not a huge liability from a money standpoint at the moment.
"He is the leader in the clubhouse in terms of ticket count, and I expect that trend to continue."
So Young is among The SuperBook's liabilities at the moment. Others that the risk room is rooting against include:
- Brooks Koepka (+3500)
- Bryson DeChambeau (+2000)
- Viktor Hovland (+6000)
- Ludvig Aberg (+1800)
Among The SuperBook's preferred winners:
- McIlroy
- Collin Morikawa (+4000)
- Justin Thomas (+5000)
- Joaquin Niemann (+8000)
- Jordan Spieth (+8000)
- Shane Lowry (+9000)
