NBA Playoffs Player Props for Wednesday, May 4

Prop betting expert Stuart Durst gives his top prop bets to consider for NBA Playoffs action on Wednesday, May 4. Check out his top play for the hardwood action below.

  • P.J. Tucker (MIA) Over 0.5 3PM/Over 4.5 Rebounds (-120) at DraftKings

Dorian Finney Smith (DAL) Over 1.5 3PM/Over 3.5 Rebounds

Wow. This was one I was sure they weren't going to let us bet again. DFS was extremely reliable, both with and without Luka on the court, and ended up playing more minutes than any other Maverick in Round 1 (AVG 43.3). DFS was 6/6 on 2+ 3PM in Round 1, shooting 39.9% from beyond the arc. With Luka in the lineup, he saw increased volume, going 4-9, 3-7, and 3-8 in those games. Playing with one of the elite scorers in the NBA is going to create some pretty nice shots for him. In Game 1 against the Suns he went 2-6 from 3 in 40 minutes, I'm going to continue to project similar workload. As for rebounds, its pretty hard to play 43+ minutes a game and not stumble upon 4 rebounds to be honest. DFS averaged 6.3 rebounds per game in Round 1, with 4+ in every game. In Game 1, he had six rebounds, and crashed the boards impressively, especially on the offensive side.

Jimmy Butler (MIA) Over 1.5 Steals

Jimmy Freakin Butler. This guy has been phenomenal thus far in the playoffs, especially on the defensive side of the ball. So far he's averaging 2.6 steals per game, recording two steals in only 30 minutes due to blowout in Game 1. This Philly team with Harden and Maxey at the helm is already gonna be somewhat turnover prone (thanks James) but with the added pressure of Philly needing an offensive spark plug, that could add some extra opportunity. Butler has 2+ steals in 5/5 games this postseason, and I expect him to continue that streak today.

P.J. Tucker (MIA) Over 0.5 3PM/Over 4.5 Rebounds

Another one I cant believe they are letting us bet again after last time. Also like PJ Tucker 2+ 3PM, good things happen when PJ shoots those corner three's. PJ went 2-4 from beyond the arc in Game 1, recording seven rebounds in 28 minutes. In Round 1, he had 5+ rebounds in 5/5 games and 1+ 3PM in 4/5 games. Tucker is paid to go out there and do three things, play tough defense, grab rebounds, and shoot corner three's. Tucker is very good at those things, and I expect him to continue to log at least 28+ minutes for the rest of this series.
