Heading into Week 3 there was a general consensus that the Buffalo Bills were the clear-cut best team in the National Football League. Now they come into Week 4 off their first defeat and face an equally dangerous team in the Baltimore Ravens. The Bills were moving the ball exceptionally well in the first half, but Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins kept pace. The game would eventually be won by the Dolphins 21-19.

Offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey would tell you, and a couple of tablets, that the Bills still should have won the game. Unfortunately for them, missed opportunities late would give the edge to the Dolphins.

Josh Allen threw for 400 yards on 42-63 passing and two touchdowns. He did fumble the ball once, which directly led to a Dolphins touchdown. The game started out as many people thought it would, high octane and high scoring, but the second half would provide just a 7-5 score in favor of Miami. The Dolphins really have their offense clicking with the combination of great wide receivers and Tagovailoa. Seeing the San Francisco 49ers struggle so much on offense means that maybe Mike McDaniel was the key all along.

Now the Bills have to get right, and a matchup against another high-powered offense provides a chance to bounce back right away. The Ravens should also be 3-0, but they ran into the Dolphins. They were up 35-14, before giving up 28 points in the fourth quarter to lose the game by four points. Lamar Jackson is the clear front-runner for MVP after three weeks. He has 749 yards on 56-88 passing coupled with 10 touchdowns and two interceptions.

He also leads the team in rushing, motoring for 243 yards and two rushing scores. His 243 yards on the ground are good for fifth in the NFL. Lamar Jackson has more rushing yards so far this season than guys like Dalvin Cook, Derrick Henry, Josh Jacobs, and D'Andre Swift just to name a few. It’s a tough offense to stop.

Both sides come in priced at -110, so a $100 wager the spread would net a $90.91 profit. Both teams enter this contest covering two of their first three games, so something has to give in this game.

The Bills are just 1-4 in the last five trips to Baltimore, and the home team has covered four of the last five head-to-head meetings. The one trend favoring the Bills ahead of Sunday is that the favorite has covered in four straight games when the two franchises have faced each other.
