The Celtics are seeking their first trip to the NBA Finals since 2010. The Heat are 4-5 all-time when trailing a series 3-2, the best percentage in league history, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

The Celtics are now 42-7 this season when they hold an opponent to 105 points or less, according to The Associated Press.

Bam Adebayo had a double-double with 18 points and 10 assists for the Heat. Gabe Vincent added 15 points. Heat superstar Jimmy Butler was limited to 13 points. Tyler Herro, the Sixth Man of the Year, missed his second straight contest with a groin injury and remains questionable for Game 6.

The Heat backcourt of Kyle Lowry and Max Strus combined to shoot 0-for-15, the most attempts without a make by a starting backcourt since playoff stats were tracked in 1970-71, according to Elias Sports.

The Heat were close to making more history after going 7-for-45 from the 3-point line. The 15.6 percent is the second worst with that many 3-point attempts in playoff history. The Heat have shot just 29.2 percent from the 3-point line in this series. This recent regression is stunning considering the Heat led the league in 3-point percentage during the regular season (37.9).

The Celtics are favored by 8.5 points vs. the Heat for Game 6. This comes after the Celtics were favored by 1.5 points on the road in Game 5. The Celtics are 15-5 against the spread in their last 20 games and 4-11 against the spread in their last 15 home games against the Heat. The Heat are 13-7 SU in their last 20 contests.

The over/under is set for 201 points for Game 6. The first three games of the series went OVER but Games 4 and 5 have gone UNDER. The total has gone OVER in 10 of the last 15 contests between the Celtics and Heat. Meanwhile, the total has gone UNDER in 11 of the Heat’s last 16 contests and in five of their last seven road games. With both teams dealing with nagging injuries and struggling from the 3-point line in the last couple games, expect the UNDER to happen again

The season will be on the line for the No. 1 seed in the East while the Celtics can move four wins away from a record 18th NBA championship. The Heat will both cover the spread and stun the Celtics to force a Game 7 back in Miami.
