Caesars Sportsbook Promo Code: Colts Vs. Jaguars

The Indianapolis Colts falling flat on their face is a common theme in week one of the NFL season. It happened again in Houston as the Texans were able to squeak out a tie in a mostly uneventful overtime period. The Colts were able to move the ball up and down on the field with ease, but were unable to walk away with many points. Behind Matt Ryan’s 352 passing yards, the Colts racked up a total of 517 yards. The Texans had just 299 yards, but timely mistakes by the Colts saw the Texans build a 20-3 lead.

A 17-0 run in the fourth quarter forced overtime in Houston, but two coaches playing for a tie got their way. Rodrigo Blankenship missed a 42-yard field goal on the Colts first possession of the extra period, but nothing much happened after that. The Colts can walk away feeling good about their new acquisition Matt Ryan.

The Jaguars also fell into familiar territory when they dropped their first game against the Washington Commanders. It was a seesaw game that saw the Commanders take an early 14-3 lead, but Trevor Lawrence commanded his team efficiently through the third quarter and most of the fourth for a 22-14 lead. Jacksonville has had trouble closing games out in recent years, and Sunday was no different.

The Commanders and Wentz connected with Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson in the final 10 minutes of the game to walk away with the 28-22 win. Now the underachieving Colts head to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars.

TIAA Bank Field has had trouble packing the stands in recent memory, but with a lot of expectations under new coach Doug Pederson. Lawrence is in his second season, and we expect a jump here to live up to the hopes of a number one pick. Plenty of moves were made this offseason to string some wins together, but a matchup against a fellow AFC South rival might prove difficult. The Colts had arguably the biggest offseason signing.

This game will provide a lot of different advantages to wager on and Caesars Sportsbook is offering all new players a chance to get $1,250 on Caesars. Caesars Sportsbook has the Indianapolis Colts laying 4 points on the road. The Colts and Jaguars are priced at -110 on the spread, but the money lines might provide a little more value. The Jaguars are listed at +170 on the money line. A $100 wager on Jacksonville would net a return of $170. Why not bet on Colts vs. Jags?

In a young season, ATS trends do not carry much weight but can still be considered. The Jaguars have covered just three times in their last 11 home games, much to do with low attendance crowds. The Colts have typically rebounded nicely after the bad week one performances. On the road, the Colts have covered six of their last eight. These two franchises meet two times yearly, and the ATS trends favor the Jaguars heavily.

Here are a few of the trends in the head-to-head meeting:

  • Colts are 0-7 ATS in the last seven meetings in Jacksonville
  • Colts are just 3-12-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings overall
  • The home team, which is Jacksonville this week, is 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine meetings
  • The underdog, again Jacksonville this week, is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings

The total is currently set to 47 with both the over and under being priced at -110. The last five meeting between these two have seen the total go under. The under has hit in five of the last six home games for the Jaguars. The Colts have seen six straight totals go under.

A lot of different ways to break this game down, and with the help of the Caesars Sportsbook you can place a few wagers. They offer spreads, totals, first halves, second halves and props.
