The Indianapolis Colts falling flat on their face is a common theme in week one of the NFL season. Rodrigo Blankenship missed a 42-yard field goal on the Colts first possession of the extra period, but nothing much happened after that. The Jaguars also fell into familiar territory when they dropped their first game against the Washington Commanders. It was a seesaw game that saw the Commanders take an early 14-3 lead, but Trevor Lawrence commanded his team efficiently through the third quarter and most of the fourth for a 22-14 lead. Jacksonville has had trouble closing games out in recent years, and Sunday was no different.

The Commanders and Wentz connected with Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson in the final 10 minutes of the game to walk away with the 28-22 win. Now the underachieving Colts head to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars.

TIAA Bank Field has had trouble packing the stands in recent memory, but with a lot of expectations under new coach Doug Pederson. Lawrence is in his second season, and we expect a jump here to live up to the hopes of a number one pick. Plenty of moves were made this offseason to string some wins together, but a matchup against a fellow AFC South rival might prove difficult. The Colts had arguably the biggest offseason signing.
