The Padres are still waiting on the arrival of Tatis. Fernando Tatis Jr. has yet to appear in a game in 2022, and as of just 14 days ago was not able to get to swinging a bat. Encouragingly, it’s no longer a month-to-month process, but rather week-to-week. To further complicate the season for San Diego, the pitching has been a roller coaster behind arms like Snell and Darvish. The Dodgers are up 12 games in the National League West and have not given any teams in that division a chance to close the gap.

The Minnesota Twins travel to San Diego on the heels of two straight losses to the Milwaukee Brewers. They are 52-46 on the season and currently in first place in the American League Central, ahead two games of the Cleveland Guardians.

The WynnBET Sportsbook is offering a chance to get up to $200 in free bets when using the XVIBONUS code at sign up. To redeem the welcome promotion, you must deposit a minimum of $50 and then place a minimum $50 wager with odds -120 or greater as your first real wager. The bet does not even need to win for the WynnBET to deposit $200. After your bet has settled by winnings, losing, or even a push, WynnBET will deposit four $50 bet tokens. Free bets are excluded from your winnings.

The WynnBET Sportsbook has this matchup even, with the Twins laying a slight -103 on the money line and the Padres at -107 on the money line. If you are confident on the San Diego Padres and want a little more return, the WynnBET has the run line set to -1.5 but the price tag is +165. A $100 wager on the Padres would net a return of $165.

Blake Snell will be the starting pitcher for the Padres. In his second full season with the San Diego Padres, he owns just a 2-5 win-loss record coupled with a 4.75 ERA. June was exceptionally bad as he had just four starts in that month but allowed four or more in three of them. July has been a lot better, and aside from a rocky start, pun intended, against the Rockies where he allowed five earned runs in just 3.2 innings of work, July has been kind. In three of his last four starts Snell has combined for just two earned runs spanning 16 innings.

He will be opposed by Joe Ryan, who unlike Snell has had a much more consistently good year. He carries a 2.89 season ERA coupled with his even better 1.59 road ERA. He is 7-3 on 81 innings of work in which he has allowed 62 hits and struck out 73. He has allowed two or fewer in four straight starts, and the Twins has been the victors in four of his last five starts.

The WynBET Sportsbook has the total set to 7.5 with the over slightly priced heavier at -115. The under is -105. A couple key trends are useful to consider when placing a total bet on this matchup. The Minnesota Twins are 5-0-1  to the over in their last six overall and 10-1-1 to the over in their last 12 road games. San Diego is 3-0-1 to the over in their last four overall and 5-1 to the over in their last six following a loss.
