A new retail outlet for sports betting in Arizona from Caesars has opened. The permanent in-person retail sportsbook from Caesars has opened its doors at the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Chase Field in Phoenix. The in-person retail sportsbook also has DTPHX Kitchen + Bar from famed chef Guy Fieri.

This is the second retail sportsbook that has opened for Arizona sports betting. At Footprint Center, which is located not too far away, the FanDuel Sportsbook became the first retail sportsbook in the state.

The Caesars Sportsbook retail sportsbook features two stories and is 22,300 sq. ft. The President and CEO of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Derrick Hall, indicated that this retail sportsbook has been planned out to the square inch. He is hoping to offer fans and bettors an amazing and unique experience.

The Caesars retail sportsbook has nine betting windows for sports bettors, as well as 13 self-service betting kiosks. In addition, the sportsbook can fit up to 425 customers and has wall-to-wall flatscreen television screens.

Game Seven Grill used to be in the location in the plaza on the outside of Chase Field where the new retail sportsbook and restaurant are now.

This is not the first collaboration between Caesars and Guy Fieri, as the restaurateur has worked with the betting company on other restaurant concepts nationwide over the last ten years. Adding in this interesting restaurant to the sportsbook is a move by Caesars to set itself apart from other retail sportsbooks and to grab customers who may not be looking to place sports bets.

The SVP of Retail Operations, David Grolman, has indicated that the company hoped to make the sportsbook comfortable and able to draw in a wide variety of customers. However, it looks like Caesars will be facing competition from similar retail sportsbooks in the state soon. It has been reported that the retail sportsbook at State Farm Stadium from BetMGM is also looking to add a culinary aspect when it opens.

The first stadium sportsbook for sports betting in the United States came from Caesars at the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. The sportsbook was opened by William Hill in 2020, which was then acquired for Caesars the following year, in 2021.

Opening retail sportsbooks for Caesars Sportsbook is a move by the company to build its reputation as a brand. Because there are so many online sports betting operators, a physical presence can help to establish the brand in a different way and to build a different kind of loyalty with customers.

Considering that this new retail sportsbook has opened at a baseball stadium, Caesars hopes it will be able to help drive up their profits during slow times in the sports betting seasons. For instance, sports betting can slow down during the summer. However, baseball is still in season during this time and is one of the only sports in operation.

In March, mobile sports betting made up almost all of the Arizona sports betting that took place, accounting for 99.5% of the total handle for the month. The total handle for the month of March was $681 million. The sports betting revenue taken in was $38.9 million, indicating a hold of 5.6%.

DraftKings was the king of the sports betting market with a market share of 33.3% or $230.2 million in bets. Caesars came in fourth in the state with a 13.9% of the market share or $95.8 million in wagers.

At the time in March, there was a temporary Caesars Sportsbook retail sportsbook location. In the month of March, the total taken by the state’s two retail sportsbooks was $3.3 million. The FanDuel Sportsbook retail location took in 87.9% of those bets with $2.9 million.
